“I can set in the settings of xstore how I would like to sort the products” – what settings do you mean? Theme Options > WoOCommerce > Product catalog > Default Product Sorting – these settings come from WooCommerce and are independent of XStore.

Shop page content and functionality come from the WooCommerce plugin.
All the available sorting options you can find in Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce (Shop) > Product Catalog > Default product sorting.
By default, the sort order for products is “Custom Ordering + Name”. Navigate to Products, then click Sorting. From this page, you can simply drag and drop the product rows to reorder them https://gyazo.com/c680776c6d72e5bddf1457442afbca87

If this doesn’t give you the desired result, we would recommend you contact support of WooCommerce plugin – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/ , because our theme doesn’t have additional settings for this.
