As a rule, we recommend our clients to have latest versions of theme and plugins. Also, the staging site is useful for many reasons (you may use 1 license for the 1 dev domain and 1 live domain).
Also, I’ve checked your site one more time in different browsers and the cart is not empty after adding a product. Please check it from your side and let me know if the problem is solved.

I do not see the problem on your site. Is it solved?
If you face the white screen or similar problem, try to enable WP debug mode to find out what error appears on your site, it will point you in the right direction what needs to be fixed. Also, do not forget to disable 3rd-party plugins in Dashboard > Plugins to be sure that problem relates to our theme.
