Your images should have original dimensions 1425px × 1900px. Try to reupload them in higher resolution and check zoom effect after that.

There is an error on your site:

You need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase memory_limit value.

Also check error logs on a server. There should be some noticed about that problem with image editing.

and disable all 3rd-party plugins as some of them may cause the issue.

To create custom.css you need rename default.custom.css to custom.css in wp-content/themes/blanco directory via FTP and enable it in Blanco – Theme Settings, tick “Enable Custom CSS file”.
