Need help with using 'hidden sidebar'

Could you please help me use the ‘hidden sidebar’ on my shop pages.

Using the ‘Show filter’ button I would like the side bar to slide out and show the ‘WooCommerce product filter’ plugin. Currently it appears in the left-hand side bar but I would like the page to be full width and this filter only used in the hidden sidebar.

I’ve tried all the combinations I can think of to get this to work but with no luck.

I would also like the change the text that is used within the ’Show Filter’ button – is this possible?

Please advise.

Hello,

I’ve disabled “WooCommerce Product Filter” plugin and selected layout “without sidebar” in Theme Options > Products Page Layout.
Now you need add Woocommerce widgets (Woocommerce Product Categories, Woocommerce Price Filter) into “Shop Sidebar” area in Appearance > Widgets.

Hi Jack,

Thank you for looking at this – it still seems not to work. I’ve installed the plugin and placed it in ‘Shop Sidebar’ and it errors like it did when I did it myself:

Product Filter was already activated on this page using a template override. Uncheck the Enable/Disable Product Filter Template Overrides in the product filter advanced options tab to use the widget version instead of the order by filter template override.

Not sure what to do next.

Hello,

I’ve disabled hidden sidebar option and enabled “Enable/Disable Product Filter Template Overrides” in Woocommerce > Settings > Product Filter tab > Advanced Options.

Hey Eva.
Thank you for that, but the ‘hidden sidebar’ displays but none of the options work. Clicking anything just hides the sidebar 🙁

And just one more thing – any reason why that sidebar is grey like the rest of the screen? Shouldn’t it be white so it stands out?

If we can get this working, am I assuming that this ‘hidden sidebar’ is bascially the sidebar used on the page and not an additional one? ie, there would be no way of having a right sidebar AND this hidden side bar?

I only ask this as our client has asked whether we can place some company information in a sidebar on the right..

Hello,

There is incompatibility of the plugin “WooCommerce Product Filter” and our theme.
We recommend you to deactivate it and add Woocommerce widgets to Shop Sidebar area.
