If you have the problem with default theme also, it means that problem isn’t related to theme, so you need to check woocommerce setting and try to disable 3-rd party plugins. Also please update Visual Composer and Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/page/2/.

To prevent other problems you need to use the latest our theme version, so please update theme to 3.0.0.1 v (http://themeforest.net/item/woopress-responsive-ecommerce-wordpress-theme/9751050, log in with your Envato account credentials and free download the latest version in Downloads section)

Before uploading theme files delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/woopress/ to avoid problems with old files.
Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process!
You need to enter your purchase code to activate our new theme version and skip Setup Wizard.

1. You can delete Product Images/Thumbnails Width and Height in Theme Option, then go to Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Display and change Product Image settings. Use hard crop if you want to crop images. Then regenerate thumbnails with the plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

2. Zoom shows the real size of images, so please try to add images with the bigger dimensions.

If you install some version, without install base demo content, the demo content (products/categories/blog posts) won’t be installed, only your Theme Options will be changed according to version.

What browser version do you use? The problem with background image, very likely caused by some effect, so you need check slider setting because it is not related to theme and you will have with default theme.

Did you try the plugin with parent theme?

Unfortunately, I can’t recommend any such plugin, because we didn’t test these with our theme.
