If you did not make any changes directly in parent theme files then you won’t lose anything.
Make sure that your translation files are located in wp-content/languages/themes folder and not in wp-content/themes/xstore/languages.

Problem was related to out of date pot file. Where did you get it? If you update the parent theme don’t skip update of the xstore/languages/xstore.pot, it’s important if you want to have the up to date translation.

1) Go to Theme Options > Shop >Product page layout > enable sidebar for the shop page if you want to show the sidebar there http://prntscr.com/op64jm Use top filters area if you don’t want to use the sidebar for the shop and product categories or want to place any additional filters there. In other case just remove all the widgets from that area.
