I’ve added Woocommerce Product Categories widget into “Shop Sidebar” area in Appearance > Widgets and marked to show product counts. Please check sidebar now.

Regarding the map, it’s not working with default WordPress theme too.
You can check it yourself activating Twenty Fifteen theme.

Recreate this element or try to use other Google Map element in Visual Composer editor.

I’ve imported xml file only with products from demo site to your WP Dashboard via Tools > Import section.

To create products the way shown on the site you need use Essential Grid plugin.
Go to Ess. Grid section in WP Dashboard > Create a new grid and in “Source” tab you need select “Product” for “Post Types” field and then the product categories in the field “Post Categories”.
Also you can import default grids as described in the documentation:
