    Hi Rose

    You answered very quickly thanks, but whilst I was editing my original post.

    Yes, the screenshot is what I was looking for.

    I noticed that the date is showing on one of my XStore sites at the top, but not on the current one I’m working on.

    I have included links to news items from two of my sites in the private section to show you.

    Note that I am using a news plugin called Epic News Elements and wondering if this may be the cause, but can’t see any settings in that plugin either, so not sure.

    Update… I think I’ve solved it using css. See my fix below:-

    /* Remove Product Information title on all product pages */
    .product-content .title, .product-content .product_title, .product-content .product-name {
        display: none;
    }

    /* Remove Product price on all product pages */
    .product-content .price {
        display: none;
    }

    Please let me know if this is OK to do this, or is there a better way? Also, if it’s OK, I hope this helps other people.

    Regards

    Hi

    It only happens with Internet Explorer 11. I tested Chrome, Firefox and MS Edge and they all seem fine.

    The site details are in the private area of my first post in this thread, so you can see for yourself.

    Hi and sorry to bother you again

    I was loading the site on various browsers. On Internet Explorer 11, the 8Theme Instagram tiled images in the prefooter area are not square as they should be and appear extremely tall and elongated.

    I know people should really move on from Internet explorer, but the reality is, it’s still used in a lot of public libraries and workplaces here in the UK.

    Can you please take a look and let me know if there is a possible solution to this?

    regards

    Hi again Rose

    Aaarrrgh! I missed that, well done spotting that. I used copy and paste from the email notification not from here and for some reason the dot was not in the email I received.

    Ok, that has worked now! 🙂

    Many thanks &
    Enjoy your weekend!

    Hello Rose

    Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, your fix did not work for me, as the gap above the prefooter is still there. I refreshed the browser and CDN cache, but still didn’t work. I even added the !important; bit on the end of the line.

    /* remove white space above prefooter */
    prefooter .sidebar-widget {
        display: block !important;
    }

    Note, that when the default prefooter that comes with gym is used, there is no gap, its only when I use 8Theme Instagram element in the prefooter that the gap appears, and why I suggested that it was maybe related to that.

    I provided site details so you can see the gap clearly on the About Us page in my first post.

    OK, thanks.

    There must be a problem because the XStore Import method didn’t import projects and I just tried the WordPress Tools Import method and uploaded the xml file for the gym demo and that also did not import any project files.

    Maybe someone should take a look at the import for gym, if things that are supposed to be there are missing? I’ll make do with the code you sent me for my purposes though.

    kind regards

    Hi Olga

    Thank you for responding so quickly. It occurred to me after I posted that the page looks like its a project of some kind, not a standard page, given the url has the word project before the trainers’ name. Can you let me know how it’s setup on your demo, as a portfolio project page, or a standard post or standard page?

    Regards

    I have noticed this difference.

    On the temporary site, I use to test changes that I gave you access to, I see this in the custom css:

    .et-mailchimpm{
        position:relative;
        width:90% !important;
        margin-bottom:20px !important;
    }

    but on my site I am working on, which uses the default tea demo custom css, there are differences:

    .et-mailchimpm{
        position:relative;
        width:50% !important;
        margin-bottom:20px !important;
    }

    You did not mention this change. Are there any other changes that you made?

    Hi Hung The

    Thanks for your help. I applied the change you mentioned to the live site (not my temporary site for testing changes), and although the button now looks like it should do, the text box looks squashed. See screenshot:-

    https://prnt.sc/mpsddr

    Did you also change something else you haven’t mentioned in the css somewhere?

    Hi Paul

    In another post relating to psd’s, I saw support say this :

    Our managers will be available tomorrow to fix this asap“.

    This means you’re probably looking at Monday, during normal business hours when the manager get’s onto it, rather than the weekend. Not everyone works throughout the weekend here in the UK. I noticed that your first post was the early hours on Saturday morning, so I wouldn’t be over expectant.

    I’m also an 8Theme customer. Is there are a particular part of the artwork for the Baby demo that you need? I don’t have the psd, but who knows, I might be of some help. Most of what’s on there can be reproduced with Illustrator & Photoshop.

    Note – I have worked out that I can add the portfolio again by adding the 8Theme Portfolio element. But other items on that page like leader text used for SEO purposes would have been lost.

    However, after recreating the page by adding the 8Theme portfolio element, I see that the comments field is now showing, and it wasn’t before. I have ensured that “Allow Comments” in the discussion field on the page is not ticked, but the comments are showing anyway. Something very strange going on with the Portfolio page after the update.

    That works. However, if I apply a breadcrumbs background to all pages via the theme options, it disappears again. I can apply a breadcrumb image to each individual page by using featured image and that is OK, but if I want to use the same image for all pages via options, the bottom menu border disappears again. it’s confusing how this is coded.

    For now, I will stick to using a featured image, but it means every time I want to add a new post in future, I have to manually set it, even though the image is the same. Do you know why this is happening?

    Thanks Rose

    That worked!

    One last thing… since the upgrade, on the Home Page, the Menu is slightly different from other pages. On all other pages, the Menu has a top and bottom border. After the upgrade, on the Home Page, the bottom border is missing. I can’t see any setting in theme options or whilst editing the Home Page that has resulted in disabling the bottom border of the menu on just the Home. Can you see what has caused it to disappear on the Home Page?

    (see private content for Home Page vs normal page menu. Use access details that I previously provided)

    Hi Olga

    Thanks for sending the file over to me. I appreciate that.

    I see a problem… on the Home Page, just under the main menu are the tiled images. There is one big tile and to its right are two smaller tiles. These are supposed to line up. The bottom of the two right-hand tiles no longer lines up with the bottom of the big tile on the left. I hope you understand what I mean. Click below for screenshot.

    https://prnt.sc/mmo3cl

    Is there some css missing that aligned the edges?

    Please find temporary site details in Private content area.

    Note that I installed the Home Banner page, applied the options.json file and cleared cache. You will notice the overlapping header, incorrect styling and absence of a header type to match the old theme in v4.28.1.

    Helen

    I am trying to import the Home Banners demo on a temporary domain, however, there is no option to import this demo on v5.1.6.1. Please advise?

    I am fairly certain that after you upgraded XStore from 4.x to 5.x, there was nothing done for Home Banners. When I look at the header layouts available to us for v5.x, there is no option at all that matches Home Banner, so I’m unable to manually fix the header problem myself.

    Still the same problem with the options.json file from the download. On the Home Page, the header area overlaps the page and is completely wrong header type and styling.

    I will now recreate the demo site on another temporary domain for you to look at. It will take me a little while, but on it now.

    Note – on your own demo…

    https://xstore.8theme.com/demos/home-banners/?preset=boxed

    … you are unable to see how the header looks like on pages like the “About Us” page. It switches to a default theme variant for examples pages like About Us.

    I believe the download on your site is the one I used that shipped with the v5.1.5 update. (it wasn’t present in the v5.1.6.1 update, so I used the one found in the 5.1.5 zip file.)

    As you suggest, I will download it from your site instead of using the one packed with the theme itself, to see if there is a difference and get back to you.

    Thanks for your response,

    May I ask… have you tried importing the options.json file that you provided with the theme?

    I own 6 licenses, plus a couple of my clients own their own licenses. I update many sites. This one after importing options.json file had a completely different look to before. The styling for the header looked more like a different theme variant.

    On this client site, I do not have permission to provide you with access, but will recreate the site on a temporary domain for you to look at. I will get back to you when this is done later on.

    regards
