    Hi

    The site is using the Home Banners variant of XStore.

    I upgraded Xstore from v4.28.1 to v5.1.6.1. The styling was all wrong, so I imported the options.json for the Home-Banners demo and cleared all caches. The header settings are completely wrong. It looks more like the header for the default red demo on the pages. Please provide the correct options.json file for the Home-Banners demo for v5.x?

    Regards

    Hi there,

    Thanks for using our theme.

    Please, enter your Downloads page here in your Account >>Downloads>>XStore import files>>find there folder ” Home banners” and import the options.

    If no result and then the additional assistance needed, please, attach your details to FTP and WP-admin to check the options, Thanks

    Thanks for your response,

    May I ask… have you tried importing the options.json file that you provided with the theme?

    I own 6 licenses, plus a couple of my clients own their own licenses. I update many sites. This one after importing options.json file had a completely different look to before. The styling for the header looked more like a different theme variant.

    On this client site, I do not have permission to provide you with access, but will recreate the site on a temporary domain for you to look at. I will get back to you when this is done later on.

    regards

    I believe the download on your site is the one I used that shipped with the v5.1.5 update. (it wasn’t present in the v5.1.6.1 update, so I used the one found in the 5.1.5 zip file.)

    As you suggest, I will download it from your site instead of using the one packed with the theme itself, to see if there is a difference and get back to you.

    Note – on your own demo…

    https://xstore.8theme.com/demos/home-banners/?preset=boxed

    … you are unable to see how the header looks like on pages like the “About Us” page. It switches to a default theme variant for examples pages like About Us.

    Still the same problem with the options.json file from the download. On the Home Page, the header area overlaps the page and is completely wrong header type and styling.

    I will now recreate the demo site on another temporary domain for you to look at. It will take me a little while, but on it now.

    Helen

    I am trying to import the Home Banners demo on a temporary domain, however, there is no option to import this demo on v5.1.6.1. Please advise?

    I am fairly certain that after you upgraded XStore from 4.x to 5.x, there was nothing done for Home Banners. When I look at the header layouts available to us for v5.x, there is no option at all that matches Home Banner, so I’m unable to manually fix the header problem myself.

    Please find temporary site details in Private content area.

    Note that I installed the Home Banner page, applied the options.json file and cleared cache. You will notice the overlapping header, incorrect styling and absence of a header type to match the old theme in v4.28.1.

    Hello,

    We have fixed the import file and sent it to your email. Also, I have imported options on the test site. Sorry for this inconvenience.

    Hi Olga

    Thanks for sending the file over to me. I appreciate that.

    I see a problem… on the Home Page, just under the main menu are the tiled images. There is one big tile and to its right are two smaller tiles. These are supposed to line up. The bottom of the two right-hand tiles no longer lines up with the bottom of the big tile on the left. I hope you understand what I mean. Click below for screenshot.

    Is there some css missing that aligned the edges?

    Thanks Rose

    That worked!

    One last thing… since the upgrade, on the Home Page, the Menu is slightly different from other pages. On all other pages, the Menu has a top and bottom border. After the upgrade, on the Home Page, the bottom border is missing. I can’t see any setting in theme options or whilst editing the Home Page that has resulted in disabling the bottom border of the menu on just the Home. Can you see what has caused it to disappear on the Home Page?

    (see private content for Home Page vs normal page menu. Use access details that I previously provided)

    It was disabled on the Home page via code in style.css of our theme. To enable it, please add this code in Theme Options > Custom css:

    .home .et-hr {
        display:  block;
    }

    That works. However, if I apply a breadcrumbs background to all pages via the theme options, it disappears again. I can apply a breadcrumb image to each individual page by using featured image and that is OK, but if I want to use the same image for all pages via options, the bottom menu border disappears again. it’s confusing how this is coded.

    For now, I will stick to using a featured image, but it means every time I want to add a new post in future, I have to manually set it, even though the image is the same. Do you know why this is happening?

    Hello,

    Seems developers removed the border if user use the breadcrumbs bg. I would recommend you to disable the border bottom in Theme Options > Header > Header styles and add this using custom CSS to avoid this problem

    .navigation-wrapper .menu-wrapper {
        border-bottom: 1px solid #e1e1e1;
    }
