    I have been provided PSD files that were not available in the past via your chat support. In fact you yourself have provided me with files in tha past Olga.

    The particular one I’m after is just the square with the coloured border. Its found on the Shop page I linked. if you take a look, it doesn’t look like emailing me that would be a problem to be honest.

    Olga

    Thanks, I downloaded the updated PSD 5. However, I can’t see the images with the blue/green border found on the Shop page. Please can you maybe email me these? (see private section for my email address)

    I am unable to replicate the border effect myself, and assumed this to be part of the theme.

    In addition to my above request, I would also like to have the PSD files for the three images on the home page, underneath the section with heading “Featured Services” please?

    Just a suggestion for a new theme variant…

    I think a theme variant for a charity would be a great idea. With a page that can take donations, maybe using Woocommerce to take payments via Paypal.

    The Theme could be along the lines of a Food-bank which are now very popular around Europe, or something similar and generic for lots of types of charities.

    Note – I already tried clearing the browser cache and deactivating any additional plugins that did not come with the XStore theme.

    Hi

    thanks, that worked. However, the text formattins is not the same as the demo, and editing static blocks with Visual Composer in your theme means I can’t fine-tune the css style within html tags. On other themes that use the official Static Block plugin on the WordPress repository, it allows me to fine-tune it all, just like any standard page, but not with your included version in your theme. Not sure why I am unable to edit code in a text block for instance and click the “Text” tab to fine tune the html tags with stylesheets.

    This is the official Static Block repo:-

    https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/static-block/

    For instance the text block with the words “Join newsletter & be up to date!”… I am unable to apply the same formatting found on your demo. The import did not have any formatting on the text. Your version of Static block prevents me from applying the formatting found in your demo. Do you know why this is?

    Not sure why Static Block is not an update-able plugin as on other themes I have. I think you have included some restricted version in XStore Core, when this was not necessary. I hope you know what I am getting at. Seems a bit strange your developers would do that. Extra work for nothing, and what appears to be a restricted version of Static Block plugin??

    One thing more…. the Newsletter link in the top bar. Something pops up, but there is no code in that popup. Can you please provide the code needed to look like the demo Newsletter popup.

    I noticed that there is a Newsletter finances static block. But the link in the top-bat is not actually loading this. Not sure how to get it to do that?

    Thank you, the fixes worked. I do use iThemes Security plugin which may cause issues with the options being set during import. However, in other theme variants, you include the options.json file within the XML Files folder. Maybe you should ensure that is included for all theme variants in future, that way you’ll get less people requesting it directly from your support.

    I also had this problem. Why not apply this fix to the theme and provide an update?

    I also had this issu, and I can see others have issues with mobile checkout. Can you please tell me why this theme has not had an update to fix this issue? you have regular updates for XStore, but no recent updates that actually fix the issues for Classico.

    OK, just checked, and no there was no sliding functionality in that part of the home page.

    One suggestion I might have…

    When I imported the Home Banners demo, it came with an About Us page different to the ones on your own demo. There was an Visual Composer ‘image carousel’ with images of brands. I replaced this with the ‘brands carousel’, which was more appropriate, since it automatically pulled images from the Brands post types. What it lacked was the ability to provide each brand with a URL and allow the user to click the brand image and be taken to their website as an option. I use a number of other themes that have a brands carousel that have this feature.

    Just an idea.

    Thanks for responding Olga

    Oh! I am going to restore a backup of v2.6 and check. I had this idea that the large images would slide across automatically, like the main banner at the top of the page.

    OK, I have found an option in Theme Settings myself. For anyone else interested, its here::-

    Admin -> Theme Options -> General -> Layout -> Support Chat = OFF

    Another major issue I have with this failed import procedure, is that on all other pages, like About Us or Contact, the header is the same as the default layout with a red background, and not like the demo you have for Home Banners with a grey background.

    Please also advise on how to correct this myself.

    Please do not fix without explaining how to replicate the demo properly myself?

    Hello Olga

    Sorry for delay. Yes, would still like to know how to replace the words “Open Panel” (previous XStore version ‘Top Panel’). I have never used translation files, so have no idea what these are to be honest.

    Furthermore, I am surprised that since my posts, a couple of new versions of the theme have been released and still no way to change these words. They are certainly not very user-friendly terms and are not suitable for end-users who visit the site.

    Everything in a theme should be easily changed in some way, especially text that appears on a site. This needs closer attention by your development team.

    One more thing… When the site is loaded, the ‘top panel’ is initially hidden. An arrow pointing downwards can be clicked on to view the top panel. When you hover over this arrow, the word “Top Panel” is displayed. Please can you advise me how I can change the wording to something else like “Support”?

    In addition to my above comments…

    I have used the Social Links VC element as you kindly suggested. Where do I change the set colours for the buttons produced please? Since the buttons I am settings are within the ‘top panel’ of the site, they need to be a different colour to the default colours. Within the VC element for social links, I am only able to specify a limited number of variables (colourful, filled, size), but I can’t actually change the icon colours and background fill colours, unless these are specified elsewhere?

    Kind regards

    Hi Olga

    OK, understood. In the glasses demo is a static block named ‘Top Panel’, which is for a drop-down section above the header. It uses the share tag, but when you look at the icons produced, they do not indicate they are for sharing, the natural assumption is that the icons are for visiting the social media pages, not sharing. you guys should take a look as its confusing to the visitor.

    Thanks

    Hi

    I am testing out XStore and have imported the Glass variant demo.

    I have created a Blog page with an bullet point list (un-ordered list, UL), and have included within a list item (LI) a link to another website. The text does not vary in the links I create within a list. Text in a paragraph elsewhere does look different, as if its has been given the `strong’ tags.

    I understand that version 2.0 of XStore will be released very soon. Please can you take a look at links within lists and ensure that our site visitors understand that text within bullet lists are links and not just part of the sentence. The text colour does not vary.

    Since my theme folder changes with each version when I upgrade for the purposes of white-labelling, and version control, it becomes very annoying when I have to keep changing the new theme upgrade to sort out bits of css here and there.

    Kind regards

    Hi

    The only other major change is the wp-content directory name is also changed. I use the plugin “iThemes Security”, which gives you the option of changing the wp-content directory name and and the login url. Does your theme make direct reference to the wp-content directory during the plugin import maybe?

    Hi

    I previously reported to you that half of the theme’s plugins would not automatically install, the ones you ship, whilst those available on the WordPress site like WooCommerce did install OK.

    I now know why. I always white-label the site, including changing the directory name of the theme from

    /wp-content/themes/xstore/

    to

    /wp-content/themes/MyDomainNameHere/

    Most theme developers I have purchased from tend to not specifically code in the theme directory name when coding the plugin install, so it does not fail for this reason, and use a variable that points to where the directory is expected. Since I (as many others) changed the name of the directory, the automatic process of plugin installs failed and I had to do this manually.

    I also had many issues when I imported the theme demo files, as none of the options imported at all, so I had to do this manually also.

    This was a big pain, not only for me, and also for your support staff whom I had to ask many questions to get the theme to look like the demo because the demo import failed.

    All this because the way the site was coded expected a specific theme directory name, and did not use a variable as other themes do. I am not complaining, but making a helpful suggestion that the development team look at this issue and maybe can sort it out. It would have saved myself and your support team hours of extra work.

    I found out because I installed the theme all over again using the original directory name, and the plugin install and demo import all worked properly.

    Kind Regards

    After importing the XStore default demo, I found that the category images on the home page and product images in general are not the right size. I own several other WooCommerce themes, and they all provide information about the required default image settings in the following places:

    Settings -> Media -> Image sizes

    also

    WooCommerce -> Settings -> Products -> Display -> Product Images

    Then the advice after changing these to the correct sizes based on the demo, Regenerate Thumbnails plugin should be run.

    My request is that you include this information in your documentation.

    Kind regards

    Yes, am using Classico v1.5. Still getting the error using the Google Chrome… press F12… click Security tab to see the error. Please comment that you looked in the ‘Security’ tab. The error is still showing on your demo page, so where exactly did you test? Can I see?

    I have replicated this error on two different servers with default Classico demo install v1.5 so far.

    The error relates to this file on your demo…

    https://www.8theme.com/demo/classico/variant1/wp-content/themes/classico/js/plugins.min.js

    This file has the same error in Classico v1.5. This is not related to any additional plugin that can be updated.

    No, the login details are correct. I just tested them using copy and paste and it worked for me.

    Make sure you use copy & paste. On the WP Login screen ensure you tick the ReCaptcha form box before logging in. If you do not initially see the ReCaptcha box, then reload the page until you see it.

    The details provided were indeed correct.

    I would like to be able to add a Visual Composer ‘Call to Action’ to the site from the widgets screen, but there is currently no widget for this. I have other WP themes that use Visual Composer that have the Call to Action in widgets and it means it can be easily applied to every page without duplicating the code in every page.

    Hi Eva.

    Of the two errors, I have found the source of the first, “Mixed Content” error. I was certain after searching everywhere in the theme folder that the theme files did not create this problem. So I disabled all the plugins and added them back one-by-one, whilst observing the Google Chrome Developer COnsole (F12) and refreshing a tab in Google Chrome that showed the error each time.

    The plugin that caused the problem was one I added, “Woocommerce LightBox”. Within the pluligin folder was this offending file:

    /plugins/woocommerce-lightbox/assets/css/main.css

    The following line caused the issue:-

    /**
     * Woocommerce Lighbox by WpBean
     */

    @import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:400,600);

    Not sure why an official Woocommerce plugin would have this problem in it, considering with ecommerce sites nowadays, its preferable to have an SSL certificate. Anyway, I stripped out the reference to http: just leaving the //.

    Hope this helps others.

    What remains to be solved is the second error:

    Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'width' of undefined plugins.min.js.5

    This error also exists on your demo site, so its not anything to do with something I’ve changed or an extra plugin you don’t have on the demo.

    https://www.8theme.com/demo/classico/variant1/

    If you visit the demo link above in Google Chrome, then press F12 to view the Google Chrome Developer Console, you’ll see the error marked in red. No need for my site to see this.

    Please take a look and explain what is causing this please? Looks to me like a coding error.

    I think I worked it out by changing this also…

    .breadcrumbs-type-8:not(.home) .top-bar .menu>li.menu-item-has-children>a:after, .breadcrumbs-type-8:not(.home) header .menu>li.menu-item-has-children>a:after {
    color: red;
    }
