    Hi

I have updated XStore to v3.5 and installed the Finance theme variant demo. The following issues need to be addressed, please can you help:-

    1. Theme Header – import failed

Whilst the pages, demo portfolio etc. have imported OK, the theme header looks nothing like the demo. Please can you kindly provide me with the options.json file to match the Finance variant of the theme.

    2. Home Page text box Under Slideshow Missing Shadow

On your Finance demo, just underneath the Home Slideshow under the Main menu, there is box with three columns. Each column has the heading “GLOBAL CONSUMER INSIGHTS”. This box on your demo has a shadow underneath. On my site after the demo import, the box does not have a shadow.

Please can you explain how I can enable this box shadow?

    3. Issues with the Footer Area

The Static block called “Footer Finances” was imported, but I had to mess around removing other widgets already in the footer area (maybe from the base demo import), and since your options did not import properly, I had to change the settings for “Footer Columns” from 4 to 1.

What I have now is the correct main part of the Footer, but below that, the area with your Copyright line is displayed twice now. “© Created by 8theme – Power Elite ThemeForest Author.” I can’t find any setting in options to hide this bottom footer area that has the second copyright. Please can you advise me how to rectify this, so my site looks like your demo exactly in this respect?

I will post a Private Content message with logins to my staging platform if necessary, but would prefer it if you would provide me with options.json file to sort out header, and an explanation to sort the other two issues myself. I don’t believe in having things done for me and I don’t learn. 🙂

    Regards

    Hello,

Sorry for the delay in answering.

    1. We tested and did not face any problem with options import. Anyway, I have sent you .json file.

    2. It’s related to options import issue because shadow was added by custom CSS. You will get it after options import.

    .home-icons-wrapper {box-shadow: 0 15px 40px rgba(0,0,0,0.05);}

3.Yes, very likely problem related to options import issue. To remove last copyrights go to Appearance > Widgets > remove widgets from Footer Copyrights Left and Footer Copyrights right widget areas.
To change first copyrights row go to Static Block > edit Finance Footer static block.

Thank you, the fixes worked. I do use iThemes Security plugin which may cause issues with the options being set during import. However, in other theme variants, you include the options.json file within the XML Files folder. Maybe you should ensure that is included for all theme variants in future, that way you’ll get less people requesting it directly from your support.

    Hello,

Yes, we’ll include this version import in next theme update.

One thing more…. the Newsletter link in the top bar. Something pops up, but there is no code in that popup. Can you please provide the code needed to look like the demo Newsletter popup.

I noticed that there is a Newsletter finances static block. But the link in the top-bat is not actually loading this. Not sure how to get it to do that?

    Hello,

to add that statick block content to the Newsletter window go to Static Block > open finance static block and copy block id http://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/47-static-blocks
After that go to Theme Options > E-Commerce > Promo Popup > add the following shortcode in content field [block id=”4632″] where id is your static block id.

    Hi

thanks, that worked. However, the text formattins is not the same as the demo, and editing static blocks with Visual Composer in your theme means I can’t fine-tune the css style within html tags. On other themes that use the official Static Block plugin on the WordPress repository, it allows me to fine-tune it all, just like any standard page, but not with your included version in your theme. Not sure why I am unable to edit code in a text block for instance and click the “Text” tab to fine tune the html tags with stylesheets.

This is the official Static Block repo:-

    https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/static-block/

For instance the text block with the words “Join newsletter & be up to date!”… I am unable to apply the same formatting found on your demo. The import did not have any formatting on the text. Your version of Static block prevents me from applying the formatting found in your demo. Do you know why this is?

Not sure why Static Block is not an update-able plugin as on other themes I have. I think you have included some restricted version in XStore Core, when this was not necessary. I hope you know what I am getting at. Seems a bit strange your developers would do that. Extra work for nothing, and what appears to be a restricted version of Static Block plugin??

    Hello,

    1) Could you, please, provide me temporary admin panel access and I’ll check the newsletter static block styles?

    2) Static Block is our functionality. We don’t use third-party plugin. To be able to use Static Block you should enable XStore Core plugin.

In case if static blocks are not available in VC settings you should go to Plugins > deactivate and delete XStore Core plugin. Then go to Appearance > Plugins and install it again. Go to Visual Composer > Role Manager and you’ll find the static block in the custom post types list.

    Regards
