Single post page inherits these settings from Theme Options > Breadcrumbs or from individual settings of the Blog page. Also, every post has own settings, go Dashboard > Posts > [8theme] Layout options > Breadcrumbs Style and Breadcrumbs Effect

The mentioned code should work fine independently of the version. Make sure that is no issue in other custom CSS code on your site. Where exactly you added this code?

Using 2 different editors will create a mess. It would be better to do a clean installation, and select Elementor – http://prntscr.com/t5m1lr
