As this functionality is provided by a third-party plugin, we kindly recommend reaching out to the plugin’s author for further assistance.     We’d like to update you on the speed and performance improvements in XStore.
    Over the past few months, our team has focused heavily on optimizing theme performance. As evidence, our public optimised demo now scores 98+ on mobile and 100+ on desktop in PageSpeed tests—showing that XStore is fully tuned for speed.

    However, we’ve identified another major factor affecting site responsiveness: bot traffic. On several client sites, automated bots have been generating large numbers of requests to dynamic filter URLs on the shop page over 50K requests per day. Even on powerful servers, this volume of repeated queries can cause noticeable slowdowns.

    To help you investigate this, we’ll share detailed screenshots in the private support area showing bot-generated request patterns. You’ll see exactly why your server may be under strain.

    What we’ve done so far:
    • Reviewed and optimized all frontend assets (CSS/JS, images, lazy-loading).
    • Improved our AJAX-filter endpoints to reduce query overhead.
    • Hardened nofollow and other standard directives—though some bots still ignore them.

    Our team continues to refine these protections. In the meantime, please verify whether bot traffic is impacting your site’s load.

    Next steps:

    Regarding the performance issues experienced immediately after updates, the cause is as follows: the cache files are being overwritten, which results in a significant load on the server.

    Additionally, we have noticed that you are using two page builders simultaneously (Elementor and WPBakery Page Builder). We kindly recommend choosing one of them, as using both at the same time considerably increases the server load.

    We would like to inform you that the issue arises from the way WooCommerce handles review data. Specifically, WooCommerce does not retrieve review information directly from the comments. Instead, it uses cached values stored in the product’s metadata. These values are saved in the following meta_key fields associated with the product post:

    – _wc_rating_count — an array representing the number of ratings for each star level (e.g., [5 => 3, 4 => 1, …])
    – _wc_review_count — the total number of approved reviews
    – _wc_average_rating — the average rating

    To resolve this issue, we have implemented an automatic cache refresh after a new review is added. The following function has been added to the xstore-child/functions.php file:
