OK, I have worked it out myself. Whilst editing, I saw in the bottom left-hand corner a button that says Responsive Mode. Clicking this allowed me to then select Desktop, Tablet and Portrait modes at the top of the screen.

I was provided with help a number of years ago in changing the folder name and theme name, so the fact that I was using the theme would not be known to clients.

I will update and try again, but i will not be changing the theme folder name back.

I’ve now managed to get to the Product section. Because there was no existing product, it seemed to be hidden behind the countdown timer. On the bottom left of the screen next to the Settings icon, I clicked on the Navigator icon to make it visible. Then I was able to click the products layer and now I could see the Query option you referred to.

Thanks for your help which worked. I just had to reopen the navigator to get to it.

Unfortunately, Inside the box, the only thing I can select is the box itself, the inner column layout settings, or the countdown element. There is no such product element that I am able to select to change or select a product. This is my problem.

This will underline the tabs titles.

One more problem with Elementor tabs… I am unable to create custom anchor IDs for each tab as I could with WPBakery. This is frustrating. I can of course use the browser inspect tool to work out the DIV id, but this is not a custom or browser-friendly ID for links in the URL bar.

What XStore needs is an Elementor addon pack, such as EA Essential Addons for Elementor.

Please can 8theme consider this type of addon, as with WPBakery, you have Massive Addons.

Thank you for responding.

When I have imported older WPBakery themes, this reference to a canonical site was never there, only more recent Elementor sites.

The problem I am trying to outline is that the canonical line in Yoast is hidden in the advanced section, so is not visible to people. I certainly had no idea it was there. Then, after changing the theme by importing a newer demo, the site was no longer listed by Google. I had no idea until I investigated errors in Google Webmaster Tools that there was this line of code stating that my site was a copy of XStore because of this canonical line you have started inserting into Yoast in the newer demos. Of course, my content is not the same as XStore’s demo content. If I did not know the canonical line was there, then I am sure plenty of other people will also have no idea it is there. It serves little purpose to include this line telling Google that all other sites with your XStore theme are a copy of your demos. There is no way most people will know what to do without further investigation as I did. Many people will just not know why their site is not listed.

I’ve bought hundreds of themes by other theme developers and have never seen this inserted into Yoast advanced, hidden away like this. I am really perplexed that this is not obvious that it could cause an issue being hidden.

You suggested that I just need to change it; however, I already said I did that with a screenshot included, so others know what to do. I personally know to remove the line now as per my original post, but I highly suggest you rethink this issue for others since that canonical line is hidden from everyone’s view.

I got an email yesterday from the Epic News Plugin author informing me he had found a fix on their end. I have tested the Epic News fix with XStore v8.0.11 and it now allows me to edit the theme options without it hanging. The fix appears to be working OK.

If your developers want to liaise directly with the plugin author for more information about the fix, then I will put his email in the private content area. It’s up to you if you need to discuss anything with them to avoid future conflicts or understand better how the fix was applied.
