XStore theme update – .DS_Store files in every folder

Hello

For the last few months, when XStore has been updated the .zip file has included .DS_Store files in every subfolder. This is a file specific to Apple OS and not necessary for the theme at all. These should really be stripped out of the .zip file before you upload it to Themeforest. They may be hidden files to the uploader on their PC, but are visible to those of us using Windows and problematic for WordPress.com custom theme uploads.

Please can you upload theme files without the Apple .DS_Store files reincluded from now on? Apart from being annoying to see them in every folder, it may affect people uploading custom themes to WordPress.com.

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion. We’ll try to avoid this in the future. As a rule, only the complete theme package could include the mentioned folder, installable theme archive does not have that. Anyway, we took into account your information.

I see that the changelog is showing XStore v8.1.6 is current, but in Themeforest is it still v8.1.5. Will this be updated later today?
