You need to update theme to 4.20 version and Core plugin to 1.0.22 version.
Also, Before update woocommerce plugin please open our changelog https://www.8theme.com/demo/xstore/update-history/?preset=blog_fixes to be sure that new version of the plugin and our theme version are compatible.

You do not need to do changes in php files to translate text. What woocommerce version do you use?

If theme version that you use is compatible with WC version, likely you simply need to synchronize translation files.
