I am VERY curious to know which demo too!
Hi Tony,
I’ve downloaded the templates. Seems to be a bunch of json files.
Since this is a temporary solution (as stated by your “interim” remark), how do you suggest we purge the website of these files once they become deprecated?
Regards,
Bas
It seems that updating all elements (xstore, woocommerce AND wordpress all to latest versions solved the issue.
Thank you.
You tell me then, how blocking this particular IP address is messing up the Xstore website, and that website ONLY.
It seems to originate from your end. I can think of no browser extension that would cause this particular issue.
Even more, all of our devices, protected under the same threat analysis software in our network, show the same issue with your website when blocking 84.17.46.49 so it’s DEFINATELY not a browser extension issue.
Thank you for your reply.
We’ve since purchased the pro version, and are currently working on a staging site for b2b, removing all WPBakery elements and rebuilding pages with Elementor.
We’re running into a few problems. For instance, we use static blocks in the description field of the category, to display (responsively) a header image. When previewing the static block, the image shows fine (both desktop and mobile). When loading the category page though the banner is invisible. Can you please assist and see what’s going on?

(NOTE: The xcore plugin is outdated, because this is a development site. Basic functionality should be fine).
Any news?
Hi Andrew,
thank you for those instructions. I decided to delete the xcore, the wpbakery plugin, all themes and child themes, and do a theme clean install, activate it, and activate the elementor plugin.
Then, trying to access the builder, I get the following message: https://imgur.com/kqQNR9x
I was under the impression that a full licensed (pro) version was included in the theme? Am I doing something wrong here?
Herein lies the problem.
I can install a new theme, but with the existing theme present, I can only update the current install. Uninstalling the old theme, I’m unsure if I can activate the Elementor builder. Please advise
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for providing the tailored examples. However, I still have a question about Elementor. How can I add the new customizer to my existing website?
Hello Andrew,
Thank you for the confirmation.
How do I get Elementor within the existing (child-)template setup then? Or do I best pick a new theme that resembles the look & feel of our current built, but based on Elementor? (in that case, can you recommend a theme that closely resembles the applied functionality and layout from our live site? – in Private)
Hi Luca,
I understand, thank you.
Is 8theme planning on doing ANY development specific to B2B functionality in the Xstore theme in the (very near) future?
When we’re not able to successfully incorporate B2B-specific functions into our existing xstore B2C platform, this is a major setback for us.
We’ve already posted a feature request, but experience tells us it can take a while for something like this to get picked up unless the development team it is of great value in general.
Hello Luca,
Thanks for the documentation.
One follow-up question: is it possible to add specific conditions to the header and footer for user roles? This way, I could use a 3rd party B2B plugin to add B@B roles and change the look & feel of the website for them accordingly.
It would prevent the need for a completely new B2B multisite setup using the same product database.
Hello Luca,
I was planning on opening a similar ticket regarding theme functionality for B2B websites, but I decided to piggyback on this one because the topic is relatable.
The Xstore theme is vibrant with features, resulting in massive amounts of scripts. Does Xstore have a documented set of customization codes to disable some of these scripts and an overview of what is relevant? Can you share those customization codes with us?
Furthermore, does it make sense for 8Theme to cater to the B2B market in terms of developing a ‘b2b-version’ (i.e. lighter version) of the store theme?
Cheers,
Bas
Hi Rose,
Thanks for the feedback.
MASSIVE Addons sounds pretty… massive. What does this do for the overall website performance after installing, as we only need that single feature?
Also: mpcthemes.net doesn’t seem to exist (anymore?)
Those settings were already used, but I think it was a caching problem after all.
Clearing it doesn’t always clear it 😉
Thanks!
I’ve managed to pull up the response again, thanks!
That said, when applying the same code, both for desktop and mobile separately, mobile seems to work fine, showing a marble bg, but the desktop however still shows plain black instead of the picture. The class should work. Can you please doublecheck?
p.s.
The image is also defines in the customizer but for some reason, doesn’t show (just black color)
Hello Rose,
cache was cleared. Other private sections are viewable, just not this particular one.
Since this is our busiest season, we’re gonna table the issue and re-address
this after the holidays
Hi Tony,
I think I didn’t explain this correctly.
We already created a new header using the “multiple header” option in Customizer. However, this additional / multiple header, configured to apply to a specific product category and its sub-items, also seems to impact the other product pages which should not be as they are still linked to the default header. We can’t figure out why, which is why I reached out to Xstore.
Thanks! Appears to be a remnant from when we first started with the xstore theme, couple of years ago already 😉
Thank you!
Hello Rose,
Thanks for getting back to me. Obviously, we know how to register the theme, as we’ve been using it for over 3 years.
My question is half answered: why doesn’t the overview list our live website’s domain?
We’re using different templates for different product types. However, the default template is used nowhere. If possible, you could test/troubleshoot in that one…
Hi Tony,
this particular css code was implemented by store to solve a prior error.
Can you tell me to what ‘#theme-popup-holder’ is referencing? I may need to look up another issue popping up because of this line now being commented out.
Hi Niddy,
I seem to have a similar issue with the background color of the top header as well as the promo text / ticker background color. Can you describe exactly what went wrong in your case?
@rose, can you provide syntax comments on the css code used to temporarily solve the issue? I need to apply it to a specific product range (typed by brand) and a single category page.
Hi Tony,
we checked the leren-harnas-mannen, while you changed the leren-harnas page. That was the reason for the confusion. We’ve applied the alternate header for leren-harnas-mannen now, and it seems fine indeed.
To @Niddy: to change the header for a category page, the first parameter should be “Archives” and the second parameter should be “Product category”.
Thanks to you, Tony and Rose.
Cheers
Apologies, Tony, but your answer is a little stupid.
Whenever you guys tell us to ‘unplug the machine’ and do all the standard consumer stuff, you’re basically telling me: “I don’t know what the problem is, and I’m not looking into it until you’ve jumped through all the standard hoops”.
4.3.4 isn’t a ‘very old’ version. You’re implying that 4.3.4 was based on bad and outdated code, unable to support multiple headers while in fact, multiple headers have been part of the template since version 2 I think.
A plugin conflict is highly unlikely since the alternate header displays just fine on normal pages, just not on the standard woocommerce category page.
Cache has been cleared on server and client.
Please make an effort to actually dive into the problem.
I’m sorry, but this is our view:
Header for cart: https://gyazo.com/813ad4f199e28b95ebd1c74414592eb4
Header for category page: https://gyazo.com/924c697c1b6e5f1efcf0f7efc3129920
Unfortunately, the category page still displays the default header. All of the products that come after the category page do display the altered header. The problem lies within the category page. We’ve also tried to rebuild the header. No positive result
Hello Tony,
The passwd must have been changed by your colleague, since you can easily request a passwd reset using the link. But I’ve changed it back. Pls see in Private
