    Hi!

I am trying to Activate the theme Lifestyle in my WordPress, but keep getting this error:

Fatal error: Class ‘Et_Navigation’ not found in …/htdocs/www/wp-content/themes/lifestyle/framework/walkers.php on line 6

Could you please help me with this? I have already reinstalled the theme a few times to check if it was my mistake with copying, but error keeps appearing.

    Thank you!

Hi, Can you please look into the Zip packages that you have for download on your website and figure out what is the problem using them please?
All you would see on my FTP is YOUR extracted zip :

    LIFESTYLE – BLOG THEME – LIFESTYLE_THEME_V.1.0

Just in case you may ask – my hosting settings are sufficient for requirements for this theme.

    Hello,

We have tested our package and there are no problems with installation. We need your FTP and wp-admin data to check the issue on your side.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

Hi, is it really necessary to get to my FTP? The files are absolutely the same as in your zip package.

I’ve got other websites which are not only mine in the same location, so if it is possible not to open it, I would prefer to solve it that way.

I really love your theme Lifestyle very much. It looks super cool! It is just sad that it takes so much time to solve installation problem.

    Hello,

We checked our files and installed theme on test site, it was installed and activated successfully.
So we need access to your FTP account and wp-admin panel to check the problem on your site.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

What would you check then? You can explain and I can do it on your behalf if you tell me.

    Hello,

The issue could be resolved faster if you provided us all login details.
Also we want to check your files on your server, perhaps there were problems during your upload.
So please be so kind to give us FTP and WP admin credentials if you want to fix the issue asap.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi,

I very appreciate your willingness to help. However FTP allows to upload and download whatever you want on server. Therefore being responsible we should avoid using it.
At the same time, I’d like to understand how this theme works myself, therefore it is useful to hear from you what might be the reason. Since you want to use ftp, you probably know where to troubleshoot.

The problem occurs after I upload theme from wordpress backoffice and try to Activate it.

The host I am using has PHP 5.6 and other settings are also as required.

    Hello,

If you upload theme via WordPress backend then we recommend you to reupload theme files via FTP and check your site after that.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

Hi I have done it again and it is not working. Since you were asking for ftp access, I have been trying in vain to understand what exactly you would be doing there. So far, I have not received any explanation.

Since FTP allows you to upload and download files, cam you please tell me what exactly you would be doing via ftp? Since obviously you suspect there is an issue, instead of doing it without any supervision, can you please tell me what is that you suspect and I will check this for you. I also would like to ensure that in case we face this issue in the future, I can handle it right away without resorting to such a prolonged support process.

Here is what I am using for environment: php 5.6, an wp 4.4.2

    What I am asking specifically:
    – with ftp access what would you check exactly? what files and what would be looking for?
    – have other users experienced a similar problem with your template? If so what was resolution?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

We didn’t get such errors from other users and on our test site theme was installed successfully, so the problem may be related to your server.
We want to try to reupload theme files. Please create FTP account for us (you’ll be able to delete it after issue is resolved). For now we can’t tell you what we’re going to do, because this issue needs investigation.
Also please provide us with WP Dashboard credentials.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello,

The problem is fixed. I’ve moved the code in the wp-content/themes/lifestyle/framework/walkers.php file from lines 6 and 7 to the end of file

    add_action( 'wp_ajax_menu_posts', array( new Et_Navigation(), 'getPostsByCategory') );
    add_action( 'wp_ajax_nopriv_menu_posts', array( new Et_Navigation(), 'getPostsByCategory') );

Please clear browser cache and check the site.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.
