1- Regarding the article we shared with you, if the code is not working on your site then there are no other options in our theme to make, It Requires extra customization. If you want paid Customization services submit a customization request to WPKraken team.
2- There is an issue with the child theme you are using on your site. Because when I activate the parent theme on your site the filter works fine check the images: https://postimg.cc/0MJYxt7b and https://postimg.cc/xXxMmrRX
