It is because of the different content – simple and variable products (not a bug, but predefined displaying). The masonry option won’t solve it.
Your own products will be all variable, all simple, or both types?
You can disable swatches displaying from Shop page via Theme Options > WooCommerce (Shop) > Shop elements > Variation swatches > Swatch Position + set min-height for titles and hide stars by custom CSS, then you will get > http://prntscr.com/se24bf Is this what you are looking for?
