1) If I understood you correctly, try to add this code into custom.css file. This will delete white space in the bottom.

.content-page{ margin-bottom: 0px; }

You can update Royal theme via FTP. Please look this video tutorial:

Also you can delete this royal/woocommerce/cart/cart-totals.php file. It is not needed in the updated theme.
