Did you do any changes in template files?
Can’t you update theme at all or just to version that is compatible with WC 2.6.x? Because the latest version that is compatible with WC 2.6.X is 3.10.1 and I could provide it to you if you need, it has a list of improvements and bug fixes.

Either you did not check the hard crop or did not regenerate thumbnails because your images are not cropped.
Try to add the following code to Theme Options > Styling > Custom CSS to remove 100% for your images

.content-product .product-content-image img {
    min-width: 1px;
    width: auto;
}

Also, I would suggest you to prepare images before uploading and make them all in one size or proportional at least to get a nice grid.

1) You may choose another type of header and you’ll get the top bar. But Variant center 2, Two rows types do not have the top bar as the separate part.

2) Responsive Options tab is for column settings only in VC. It’s default VC option and XStore supports it http://prntscr.com/hgsyby
Row or section do not have this tab by default and it’s related to VC rules.

What version of WordPress and Massive Addons plugin do you use? Make sure that if you use WP 4.9 then Massive Addons plugin is 2.3.1. Update plugin and check if it fixes the problem. If not – provide me admin panel and FTP access to your site to study the problem more deeply.
