SKU Product Search Still Not Working Properly

    With your newest Theme update, the search by sku function now products search results for the parent product as it should BUT it now also produces search results for every child variation as well which is very confusing when there is an sku # in the product title which for my website is common. Please search on CR-0360 for a search without the sku number in the title and search on 5500 for a search with the sku # in the title.

    Hello,

    Search by SKU includes search by variations. Before 4.13 update we had the bug with it and search for variations was broked, we fixed it. In your case, all the variations have 5500 in their SKU that’s why you get such results. Do you want to exclude the search by variations from your search results?

    YES! I only want search by sku results to show the parent. It is very confusing for a customer to show all variations in search results since all these variations can be seen in the parent listing.

    Hello,

    Ok, we can do this for you but need correct access to your FTP. Please, make sure that FTP credentials are correct and provide us.

    Do you have any white/black lists on your server? I still can’t connect to your server. Maybe your hosting provider does not allow connections from other countries?

    I talked with the folks at my hosting service and if you can provide the IP address, they will white list you. The credentials are correct so that must be the issue. Thanks.
