To change “more details” button in related post you need edit theme-functions.php file (line 2756) in wp-content/themes/royal/framework directory.
The code in this file is also related to the buttons on the home page.

Yes, you need rename default.custom.css to custom.css. Please do this and move the code you’ve inserted into style.css to custom.css file.
This way your changes won’t be overwritten after theme update.
