Then the problem isn’t related to the theme, but to the plugin or perhaps your hosting provider.
Try to contact your hosting provider support and ask them to check error log and mail logs why email isn’t delivered. If everything is fine in the logs then you have to contact Woocommerce support team because as you said the problem persists with their default theme Storefront too.

Concerning your first issue there is an error in the console for admin-ajax.php file:

Internal server error is related to server configuration, so you need contact your hosting provider. Or disable Ajax Add to Cart option in 8Theme Options > E-Commerce > Single Product Page.
