1) Regarding the number of colors displayed (even without filters) on the category page: only the colors (attributes) associated with the products in that specific category are shown. This is why the number of colors displayed on a category page is smaller compared to the shop page.

2) Concerning the automatic image change (variation switch) after applying a filter: this is not a default functionality of the theme. If you would like to implement this feature, please contact the appropriate department for assistance. https://www.8theme.com/roadmap/
