    Hi,

I have just bought the xstore theme and I have a problem in the system requirement
It says that the memory limit on my system is 40M altough it needs a least 128M.

I checked my wordpress health status, it says
    Php Memory Limit -1
    so to say “no limit”

I asked my hosting provider, they said that there is no limit fixed on their side.
Can you tell me how to resolve this ?

    Thanks a lot

    Hello, @diatomee,

Thank you so much for purchasing our theme and contacting our support center.

1/ We kindly ask that you verify values for the (memory limit) and ‘max_execution_time’ (PHP time limit) and ‘upload_max_filesize’ (Max upload size) within your WooCommerce environment under WooCommerce > Status. For your convenience, here is a screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/uM-ot0pQgz6E

It means the values were not updated correctly or something on the server side changed them to low values. We would recommend you contact your hosting provider and ask them to fix.

    2/ Check System Requirements:

Ensure that your web hosting environment meets the minimum requirements for the XStore theme. Please set the php version 8.0 on your site and increase max execution time minimum 3000. Check the image for specific requirements here: https://imgur.com/wKn5z6x

3/ Please read our theme documentation about theme installation: https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/12-theme-installation

    We hope this helps.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team

    Hi,

    Thank you for your answer.

As I specified in the initial form for my question, I don’t have any woocommerce installed for the moment (I was waiting the prebuilt theme installation to install it); so the problem shoudn’t be there

My max execution time is currently 50000
I changed my php version to 8.1
but it doesn’t solve the problem of the 40M

I installed many themes before yours it’s the first time I get this type of error and incompatibility

As I told you in my message , I asked my hosting provider (twice) and they said that nothing is limiting the memory on their side

Is there something else i can do ? and if not can we talk about refund If I can’t use properly your theme ?

    Thanks

    Hello, Diatomee,

We would like to extend our gratitude for your swift response to our previous communication.

Upon installation of the WooCommerce plugin, we have observed that the memory limit displayed is consistent with the value of 40, as indicated in the screenshot provided: https://prnt.sc/XdVTec1Cs8Wj. This observation confirms that the memory limit issue is not originating from our theme, as all themes and plugins on your site are detecting the same value.

Should you have confidence in your hosting provider’s assurance that there are no memory limits imposed, please feel free to disregard this message. You may proceed to the next step of import: https://prnt.sc/Cx2ILWJ_EOkN.

We appreciate your attention to this matter and remain at your service for any further assistance you may require.

    Yours Sincerely,
    8Themes Team.

    Hi

    Thanks for your answer.
But I am not very confortable starting a new website with already a problem eventhough I didn’t start to do anything yet….

Can you confirm that the Memory limit in your dashboard system status correspond to WP_MEMORY_LIMIT constant ?

    Hello, Diatomee,

We would like to reiterate that you are welcome to commence your project if you have confidence in your hosting provider’s capabilities. Should you encounter any significant difficulties with the importation of the demo content, please rest assured that we are committed to providing you with the necessary assistance.
Please note that our theme just detects your server’s WP_MEMORY_LIMIT, it doesn’t affect it, in the same manner as the WooCommerce plugin does. If you were to activate a different theme on your site, you would observe identical results in the WooCommerce > Status section, as illustrated here: https://prnt.sc/XdVTec1Cs8Wj.
We hope it is clear now.

    Yours Sincerely,
    8Themes Team.

I asked that because I have decided to change my phpconfig and set the value to 128M…
The woocommerce is ok now but still not your Xstore dashbard that still display 40…so I am a bit confused

    Thanks
    I have checked that already

I was just telling you that now my Phpconfig file is set with the variable WP_MEMORY_LIMIT at 128M (not the case yesterday because I wanted to know from where the 40M was coming and not just overwrite it…but didn’t succeed and you neither)

it shows well now in the woocommerce plugin status that the wp memory is 128M (that was not the case yesterday when you logged in to my wordpress)
But the Xstore dashboard status : “memory limit” still displays 40M !!
(I can send you the screenshots by email if needed)

What value do you read in your code to display 40M in your dashboard ? (not the WP_MEMORY_LIMIT because it is now ok in woocommerce and my wordpress health info).

    Thanks
