Sorry I meant categories + subcategories of a product. I’ve tried both post categories, which works fine, and product categories, which won’t work.
Since the theme is oriented towards stores, doesn’t it make sense to show product categories too in this way?

One standard license is valid only for 1 project. Running multiple projects on a single license is a copyright violation.
