    OK, that changed the text colour for the menu, but for Menu’s with drop down items, the downward pointing arrow remains white. Would like this to be the same colour please?

    … Follow-up… ideally I want the Menu font colours on the Home page to match all the other pages and not be different, and be able to change it once for the whole site. Seems to be missing options to change font colours for other pages as far as I can tell.

    I have put in for a refund request via ThemeForst/Envato. I am having to change themes for my client whom is desperate to sell their items in the run up to Christmas, they are currently losing money due to this broken theme.

    The theme remains broken with latest secure versions of the plugins, and only works with the unsecured out-of-date plugins mentioned with are vulnerable to attack. I’ve patiently waited for support to get the broken theme working since I purchased it, and now am forced by my client to move on and get the refund.

    Please respond with acceptance of my refund request, given the obvious problems I’ve had.

    Agreed. But whilst I strongly believe that Eva Kemp is doing her best, its the theme developers that have seriously messed up here. Having bought hundreds of themes to be modified for clients, I’ve only ever come across a couple of problems where I am unable to go live because of inherent faults with the theme not being compatible with plugins it requires.

    8Theme should have made this a priority, but all that’s happened so far is I was continually sent on a wild goose chase on my end to sort it out. They know full well the latest plugins break the site.

    Hello Eva

    You last posted on 12th November informing us that the new theme would be available on Tuesday 17th.

    Its now Sunday 21st November, and the updated theme is still not yet available; please advise when it will be?

    I have a finished site that can’t go live for the aforementioned security issues. My client is furious with me… and quite frankly if its not sorted, I will need a refund to go with another theme. Months have now gone by without a secure theme.

    Regards

    You asked me to update plugins. Please see the following support request ticket. It describes how I have complained about plugin updates available on your download page breaking the Classico site. I was advised by your colleagues to roll back to a version of plugins that are not secure according to ThemeForest.

    Link to issue with plugin updates breaking site

    Are you now saying that there are later plugins and you have updated Classico to a version later than v1.3 that now works? Please advise before I go updating and rolling back all over again?

    OK, I think I’ve cracked it by amended the css you provided earlier.

    Here’s my updated version:

    footer .container .widget-container .twitter-list li {
    border-bottom: 1px solid #444;
    margin-bottom: 1.0714em;
    padding-bottom: 1.0714em;
    }

    blockquote.testimonials-text {
        color: #ffffff;
        font-family: 'Open Sans',sans-serif;;
        font-size: 18px;
        background-color: transparent;
        border: none;
    }

    blockquote.testimonials-text:after,
    blockquote.testimonials-text:before {
        display: none;
    }

    .testimonials-slider .owl-controls {
       background-color: transparent;
    }

    .testimonial-info .testimonial-author {
    	color: #ffffff;
        font-family: 'Open Sans',sans-serif;;
        font-size: 18px;
        background-color: transparent;
        border: none;
    }

    .owl-carousel .owl-pagination .owl-page span {
        display: block;
        width: 12px;
        height: 12px;
        margin: 5px 7px;
        opacity: 0.5;
        -webkit-border-radius: 20px;
        -moz-border-radius: 20px;
        border-radius: 20px;
        background: #ff0000;
    }

    The problem now remaining is that I set the testimonial to be a slider, with interval in milliseconds of 8000 (alsd tried many different values), but they do not slide from testimonial to testimonial as it should do. The end user can only use the bullet point navigation control underneath to go to the next one.

    Just seen this you added to the online development site

    .testimonials-slider .owl-controls {
       background-color: transparent;
    }

    This makes the bullet point navigation control background transparent.

    (sorry I’m working from the offline site, and you previously amended the online demo version)

    Thanks.

    Sorry for the delay, have been waiting for the major issue of your out-of-date plugins to be sorted, as the site does not work with latest downloads you made available. (another support request thread)

    The above .css solution works well, and from your css provided I was easily able to amend the text further to my requirements.

    There are two remaining issues with the testemonials.

    1. The testimonial author text remains grey, how do I add css to alter the colour, size font etc for this?
    2. After adding a second testimonial, the navigation controls appear, but it looks awful. There are two left and right arrows in circles. I like these, but the colour needs to be amended, how can I do that? Underneath the testimonial and author is a secondary navigation control with two bullet points on a white background. I would like this background to be transparent, and also be able to turn it off completely to be left with the left/right arrows in circles.

    Please kindly advise how to achieve this?

    Hope this makes sense.

    Regards

    Any luck with the plugin updates to ensure the site will be secure? you said approx two weeks. I have a client waiting for the site to go live, and we simply can’t have an e-commerce site go live with out-of-date plugins which Themeforest tell us are not secure and vulnerable to attack.

    …so to follow-up on the above I sent earlier.

    I have now deleted the two plugins you sent me via email and installed the two that came with Classico v1.3, and the site is working again now.

    Unfortunately, the site is now not secure as a result of installing outdated plugins. We were warned by Themeforest to update.

    Please answer questions relating to when you expect this issue to be resolved, as the site simply cannot go live until then.

    I’m seriously considering cutting my losses, getting a refund and buying an E-commerce theme that is fully updated. Have had no issues with Magento themes to date.

    Eva Kemp.

    I have re-downloaded the original Classico v1.3 files and uploaded everything overwriting the directories on the server. The site still doesn’t work.

    The only thing different from when the site worked was the change in Visual Composer and Ultimate Addons versions from what came with Classico 1.3. Note, you sent me versions via email that may not have been the versions that came with Classico 1.3. I specifically asked if you had tested these versions, but you did not respond??

    I can try deleting the plugins you sent and reinstalling the versions that shipped with Classico v1.3, but this would leave the site insecure as per the Email ThemeForest sent us.

    This is not on for an E-commerce site. 8Theme need to sort this issue out please, otherwise why have we paid for a theme that is not secure and won’t work with the latest plugins required to make the theme work. I feel like I’ve been sent on a wild goose chase trying versions of the plugin, and at the very least, 8Theme should be testing what works and informing customers with which plugins work and do not work. Your download page clearly provides us with what doesn’t work, and when I ask questions about that, the questions are avoided.

    When will this be fixed? I have a client that us emailing me every day about the progress on their site, and all I can do is twiddle my thumbs waiting for a trickle of support emails whilst watching this thread being hijacked by people posting with different issues.

    Sorry for the rant, but over a week gone by with no solution.

    Eva Kemp.

    No FTP access is not restricted unless you kept inputting the wrong information multiple times, your IP may have been locked out.

    I myself used copy and paste with the information I provided you and was able to connect with FileZilla no problem.

    Try connecting from a different IP address and using copy and paste. If you do not have a different IP address, provide me with yours so I can remove it from the IP blacklist on the servers’ firewall.

    Please do not publish the IP of the development server. DELETE IT PLEASE!!! I now have top change the user login as a result of you publishing information I provided to you privately.

    This is not how I expect support to act by making private details public.

    I sent the credentials twice, the second set of credentials works. Please recheck. Make sure you change the port number to the one provided otherwise the standard port will fail.

    Try second set of FTP credentials I sent, i double checked and it works, you are missing something out like the port number, or not setting the correct SFTP protocol provided.

    Thanks. I have deleted the Ultimate VC Addons plugin and rolled back to the one you sent me.

    The site is still not working. Well, the front page is still not loading below the slideshow, however, now other pages like “About Us” are now loading OK.

    I have also noticed that when editing the Home page, visual composer is not functioning now, and i can only see the page in text form. Whatever you sent me has broken visual composer completely it seems.

    Its like the site is only loading the top section of every page. Is there a fault with the custom file “vc_basic_grid.php” that you previously sent me? This is the only other change I made since the site was last working.

    Also can you confirm that the two versions of the plugins you sent me work correctly on your end?

    Thanks

    I have rolled back Visual Composer to 4.7.3.

    My site is still not functioning. Should I also roll back Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer? The current version installed is the latest, Version 3.13.7. Please send previous known working version of this file?

    At the moment, when viewing pages nothing is shown below the header of pages of below the slideshow on the front page.

    Thanks for your reply. You stated

    "The problem is caused by new version of Visual Composer editor.
    We recommend you to revert back to previous plugin version until we release theme update"

    Well, I no longer have the previous release of the plugin for Visual Composer. Do you have a link to that somewhere for me? 8Theme’s support download page only has the latest version, which you put up for us to download. Why put it up if its not going to work? Why not have a link to the previous known working version also on your site? (the version that came with Classico v1.3 is several versions back and we are advised by ThemeForest not to have it installed any more for security reasons).

    Exactly when is this issue going to be resolved please?

    … following on from my above post…

    In addition to nothing loading on the Home page below the slideshow, also nothing is loading on other pages below the header area.

    I have noticed that in the pre-footer area, the demo (and my site) uses Footer Variant 1. In this, it uses the element “Woo Product List” which is also deprecated. I disabled this loading by deselecting it from Appearance -> Widgets -> Pre Footer Area ->

    It did not solve the problem?

    I need to know what other possible elements from your demo content that are causing the problem?

    If your clients import your demo, then we should expect it to work as described. I simply don’t believe that the site is not displaying anything under the header area simply because of deprecated elements. There is another issue since the plugin updates I mentioned.

    Please help???

    Hi

    I assume that you are referring to the tabs with the following headings: “Featured Products, Popular Products, New, Arrivales, Last Minute”?

    I have updated the front page. i deleted the tabs row. I then added a new row to replace it, and added the new tabs element and configured each one to look like the demo. When i now click “edit” on the tabs element, I no longer see the error message “you are using an outdated element”. Since this has now gone, I expected the site to now correctly work after refresh, but still nothing is being displayed beneath the Slideshow and admin menu bar is not being displayed when viewing any page on the site.

    Are there any other deprecated elements I should be aware of? Please kindly take a look again and help resolve this?

    Regards

    They are exactly the same credentials I provided last time on another thread which worked for you.

    I have just checked myself, and the WordPress login works as I provided it. I used copy & paste from the above. You need to use copy & paste too.

    Please note that the admin username is two words with a space in. You may have only been typing the first word, which is not what was intended. After checking myself, I can confirm the mistake is your side.

    Also note that the WordPress login uses a Google Captcha, so please do not ignore this either.
