I am deeply disappointed. Every time plugin updates are provided, they break the Classico site.

I updated the site plugins to:-

    Visual Composer v 4.8
Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer v 3.13.7

The site is yet again broken as a result.

When logged into the admin area, everything displays. However, when viewing the front page, nothing below the Slideshow is displayed at all. The Admin menu bar also disappears when viewing any pages.

This is very annoying. I can’t have a site go live using this theme with the constant breakdowns after installing the plugin updates 8Theme provides as downloads. Clearly the developer has not even tested these plugins with the Classico theme it seems.

The last update I did also broke parts of the site and I was provided with a single file…

    vc_basic_grid.php

    which helped until now.

(I have posted admin login details to the development testing site in private area)
    Regards

They are exactly the same credentials I provided last time on another thread which worked for you.

I have just checked myself, and the WordPress login works as I provided it. I used copy & paste from the above. You need to use copy & paste too.

Please note that the admin username is two words with a space in. You may have only been typing the first word, which is not what was intended. After checking myself, I can confirm the mistake is your side.

Also note that the WordPress login uses a Google Captcha, so please do not ignore this either.

    Hello,

The reason is some elements in your home page are outdated, for example Tabs element:
    http://storage4.static.itmages.com/i/15/1026/h_1445867306_6101781_b1f3cac329.png

You have to recreate it using updated Tabs element.
Please try it and check home page after that.

    Regards,

    Hi

I assume that you are referring to the tabs with the following headings: “Featured Products, Popular Products, New, Arrivales, Last Minute”?

I have updated the front page. i deleted the tabs row. I then added a new row to replace it, and added the new tabs element and configured each one to look like the demo. When i now click “edit” on the tabs element, I no longer see the error message “you are using an outdated element”. Since this has now gone, I expected the site to now correctly work after refresh, but still nothing is being displayed beneath the Slideshow and admin menu bar is not being displayed when viewing any page on the site.

Are there any other deprecated elements I should be aware of? Please kindly take a look again and help resolve this?

    Regards

… following on from my above post…

In addition to nothing loading on the Home page below the slideshow, also nothing is loading on other pages below the header area.

I have noticed that in the pre-footer area, the demo (and my site) uses Footer Variant 1. In this, it uses the element “Woo Product List” which is also deprecated. I disabled this loading by deselecting it from Appearance -> Widgets -> Pre Footer Area ->

It did not solve the problem?

I need to know what other possible elements from your demo content that are causing the problem?

If your clients import your demo, then we should expect it to work as described. I simply don’t believe that the site is not displaying anything under the header area simply because of deprecated elements. There is another issue since the plugin updates I mentioned.

    Please help???

    Hello,

Please take our apologies for the troubles you are experiencing.
The problem is caused by new version of Visual Composer editor.
We recommend you to revert back to previous plugin version until we release theme update.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Good morning,
    I’ve a problem with Visual Composer 4.8.
It does not work on Legenda theme (v 0.1.0): the slide show do not work and the pages are blank…
I had to restore the previous version (VC 4.7.4) and now it’s all right.

I have to wait for updates of the Legenda theme?
    Thanks

    Hello @faf,

Are you using Legenda version 0.1.0? Is it parent theme version or child theme?
You must update the theme to 2.9.2 version.

Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

(it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

    I’m using “child” of Legenda.
Ok, I’ll back up my files & database and then I’ll upgrade the theme…

    Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. You stated

"The problem is caused by new version of Visual Composer editor.

Well, I no longer have the previous release of the plugin for Visual Composer. Do you have a link to that somewhere for me? 8Theme’s support download page only has the latest version, which you put up for us to download. Why put it up if its not going to work? Why not have a link to the previous known working version also on your site? (the version that came with Classico v1.3 is several versions back and we are advised by ThemeForest not to have it installed any more for security reasons).

Exactly when is this issue going to be resolved please?

    Regards

    Thanks

I have rolled back Visual Composer to 4.7.3.

My site is still not functioning. Should I also roll back Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer? The current version installed is the latest, Version 3.13.7. Please send previous known working version of this file?

At the moment, when viewing pages nothing is shown below the header of pages of below the slideshow on the front page.

    Eva

Thanks. I have deleted the Ultimate VC Addons plugin and rolled back to the one you sent me.

The site is still not working. Well, the front page is still not loading below the slideshow, however, now other pages like “About Us” are now loading OK.

I have also noticed that when editing the Home page, visual composer is not functioning now, and i can only see the page in text form. Whatever you sent me has broken visual composer completely it seems.

Its like the site is only loading the top section of every page. Is there a fault with the custom file “vc_basic_grid.php” that you previously sent me? This is the only other change I made since the site was last working.

Also can you confirm that the two versions of the plugins you sent me work correctly on your end?
