Try to disable all the third-party plugins (including cache plugins), that do not come bundled with XStore https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/ , clear cache of browser, and check then. Maybe one of the additional plugins is a reason for the problem.

1/ We excluded a few post types as you asked from the default WordPress search (404 page or search from sidebar widget ) by adding the next code in your child-theme/functions.php

Make sure that all 3rd party plugins are disabled before the import. Demo content can be imported incorrectly in case a lot of 3rd party plugins were activated on the site before the import. In this case, provide temporary wp-admin access, we will help you.
