    In your case, the next workaround can be tested:
    – create a product category and add desired products inside
    – create a new template via the Single Product Builder https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/xstore-single-product-builder-with-elementor/ where the Modal popup button opens a contact form https://xstore.8theme.com/elementor/demos/minimal-fashion02/modal-popup/
    – select your new category in condition for this template.

    The product grid element just shows products, independently of the Categories element, this is how it works, not a bug.
    You need to use the Archive product element, because it can be connected to the categories you inserted.
