We changed some settings and now you have direct access to the directory that the website is located.
Unfortunately, this is a live e-shop with 190.000 products and permanent traffic. It is unrealistic to disable the cache mechanisms without interupting or causing serious impact to customer experience.

    Hello,

Kindly avoid making any major / critical changes, as this is a live e-shop and not a staging environment.
We have kept a backup to our server for extra safety, just in case anything happens.

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

    Hello,

We have updated the theme and applied all the available patches.
It seems that the filters do not work as expected in the search results page.
e.g. when we apply the price filter the products are not filtered accordingly.

    Could you please check?

    Thank you in advance.

    Dear Support Team,
I hope this email finds you well. I’m writing to follow up on an ongoing issue we’ve been experiencing with the search page filter functionality, which we’ve been addressing for several months now.

Could you please provide an update on the progress towards resolving this issue? This functionality is crucial for both our business and our customers’ satisfaction.

We appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to hearing about any developments or potential timelines for a fix.

Thank you for your continued support.

    Best regards.

Just to clarify, the functionality that is crusial to be fixed is the filtering with the widgets. Not the sorting functionality.

We tried to use the default Woocommerce widgets for example to filter by price, but they do not seem to work.
I am not sure if you use the default search of Woocommerce for them to work.
We even tried to use a third-party plugin (Filter Everything) that didn’t work on the search results page either.

As far as I know, we haven’t AJAX filters enabled. We have disabled them in the past because we had I different issue back then and you advised us to disable it.

Any type of help will be much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards.

This is a high-priority issue for us and a serious deal breaker for our customers. There are other well-known themes of competitor companies that provide this built-in functionality already.

We realy want to keep using your theme and choose it for our next ecommerce customers’ projects, but without this crusial functionality the final product is incomplete and lacks terribly compaired to the competition out there.
The end user should be able to easily find the products they search for by filtering them by price or brand or other attributes. The search result page should contain working filters, otherwise it is not usefull for e-shops with a lot of products.

Please inform us if there is a way to implement a third-party plugin to achieve this functionality, until you find some time to implement this in your theme in the future.

Is there a way to change this?
It is very important for customers to be able to use filters to filter out the product search results by category, brand or whatever.
We deal with many customers’ complaints about this issue.
Also, we would like the search results to be shorted by price low-to-high.

Thank you very much for you kind help.

    Kind regards.

Thank you for your help! You were right about the memory limit; that was indeed causing the problem.

However, there are still some issues occurring. I’m encountering random 500 errors when visiting the e-shop’s pages, which disappear upon refreshing the page. In debugging mode, I see PHP errors related to the et-core-plugin and some deprecated values. Additionally, I’m noticing unexpectedly high CPU usage that was not the case until now.

    Hello,

Thank you for you instant responce.

There are no specific error messages displayed. Just the classic WordPress critical error page.

-Example URL of category path that doesn’t work: https://bedandmore.gr/product-category/ypnodomatio/

-Example URL of category path that works: https://bedandmore.gr/product-category/epipla-grafeiou/vivliothikes-grafeiou/

-Interestingly, the parent category path doesn’t work: https://bedandmore.gr/product-category/epipla-grafeiou/

There are some errors written to the server log. I attach a sceenshot.
For some reason I see that the GET requests show that they call urls that contain category ids and not category slugs.

    Hello @Luca ,

I see memory exhaustion in the logs, which is strange because the allocated memory is more than enough (3.5GB).
Please see at the attached screenshot.

Deactivating the WooCommerce plugin allows me to access the front-end again. However, reactivating it results in the same error.

    Hello @Luca Rossi ,

Yes, you are right, I removed the wp admin account limitations and it should work fine now.

Also, about the FTP account, please try again without specifing the port (leave the field empty). I checked and it works.

Thank you very much for your help.

    I appreciate your prompt response.

I followed the steps you outlined in a staging environment, incorporating the provided code into the respective files within my child theme and cleared all caches. Unfortunately, the desired outcome has not been achieved. Allow me to elaborate on the issues encountered:

    1) The permalink has become integrated into the title displayed.
    2) While the tooltip does appear, it contains the following rather than the product title:

    "<a href=" .

I changed the file according to your advice and flushed all caches.
It doesn’t seem to achieve the desired effect, and I’m not sure if there is any optical or functional change to the pagination.
