    Dear Support,

    I use PoEdit to make a translation to Hungarian for the WooPress theme. Some of the english parts do not change, even if I’ve found and translated them in the original .pot file. For example: The title and subtitle of the popup Search form (other parts correctly cahnged), or on the checkout page the word “Shipping”, but only this word… etc. I don’t see what’s the logic in this 🙂
    Some of these words and sentences I’ve found in php files, but I would be happy if I hadn’t have to change these codes.

    Thnak you for your help,
    Zsu

    Hello,

    Very likely you just need to synchronize translation files.
    Try to update your translation .po file as described here http://betterwp.net/wordpress-tips/create-pot-file-using-poedit./ (the section “Updating a .po (and .mo) file”).
    or
    Button Sync (Loco Translate plugin http://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/30-base-theme-translation) allows you to synchronize your translation file with updated pot file. It means if we made any changes in template files that may affect transaltion or we added new string for the translation and you updated theme you need to synchronize your translation with updated files. Only after synchronization, you’ll be able to translate new strings or strings that were changed. You may lose only strings that were changed.
    Also, don’t forget to backup all the files before any update.

    Regards

    Hello,

    I’ve used the 4.4 version .pot file when I started to translate and until now I didn’t updated the theme, so I didn’t have any newer .pot files…

    Now I’ve done the update of the theme and updated translation with the new .pot, but the issue still exists on the same places.

    Another question: if I make a change in .php files (for example to translate these isn’t-working parts), and I use the child theme, should I copy all the content of the php to the new file, or is it enough to move just the modified parts?

    Thanks,
    Zsu

    Hello,

    I’ve checked, these are the correct datas. Last time when you helped me to install Jewellery demo content, used them and there wasn’t any problem with it, and I copied them from the previous forum answer. I tried to connect with FileZilla too, and it works for me. Please try again, I can’t give other acces 😮

    Thanks,
    Zsu

    Hello,

    I don’t know why but seems that you have limited permissions, we can’t connect to your FTP. Anyway, I used file manager plugin to get access to your files.
    1) translation files should have name woopress-hu_HU and should be placed into wp-content/languages/themes folder if you don’t want to lose translation after the next theme update.
    2) You can use Loco translate plugin to translate strings from the Dashboard http://prntscr.com/lfhqnb but contact WooCommerce Foxpost plugin author because you can’t save translation using Loco translate when that plugin enabled, seems some conflict.
    3) I don’t see problems with translation if strings are really translated and translation files are located in correct folder https://gyazo.com/3808b8a507b0bc855260794e727143df
    So, provide me screenshot of the words that are not translated on the frontend but are translated in translation files.

    Regards

    Hello,

    I think the translation problem is solved! 🙂 I did the translation modifies in the wrong-placed po file… Now I can’t find any unwanted engilsh strings. Thank you!

    I’m glad that you’ve found an other way to acces my files, I don’t know why the access didn’t work, that’s all info I got from my host… what should I do to solve this for the future?

    Another question: If I have a problem, that was solved earlier but now, since the theme update, come back again, and the Topic has been closed? Create a new topic for it?

    Hello,

    If you will face problems with translating after theme update, you need to synchronize translation files.
    About the problem on the checkout page, try to move this code:

    .woocommerce-checkout-review-order-table #shipping_method select{
        width:100%;
    }

    from Theme Options > Custom css > Custom css for mobile into Global custom css area.
    Let us know the result.

    Dear Rose,

    thank you, this code was solving the problem! 🙂

    I have one more, smaller problem in this section: The line width at the Shipping part is too short, and the line break breaks the price of shipping. On PC and on mobile too. It can be misleading to the buyers, showing much more less shipping price in one line.

    Here are some printscreens: prtscn 1 prtscn 2

    Thanks,
    Zsu

    You’re welcome!
    Please try to use this code:

    .woocommerce-shipping-methods input[type="radio"] {
        margin-right: 5px;
    }
    .shop_table tr li label {
        font-size: 16px;
        display:  inline;
    }

    Dear Rose,

    I tried to change the pixel sizes of the shipping method and price too, but can’t find a combination in what one of the linebreaks wouldn’t be in the wrong place. Isn’t there a way to make wider the td column? Or can’t we put a non-breakable space between the price numbers?

    Thanks,
    Zsu

    Hello,

    Please try to change the previous code to:

    .woocommerce-shipping-methods input[type="radio"] {
        margin-right: 5px;
    }
    .shop_table tr li label {
        font-size: 16px;
        display:  inline;
    }
    .shop_table .shipping th {
        width: 25%;
    }

    Dear Rose,

    unfortunately no succes… at the end I thought we can set anything with the table sizes or font sizes until the space is breakable between the price numbers, because of the variable window sizes that change responsively, so I searched for a css code that made the price non-breakable. I inserted this code:

    .order-review .shop_table td .amount {
    font-size: 18px !important;
    white-space: nowrap !important;
    }

    Now I think it’s pretty good, I couldn’t provoke the problem again until now, I hope it stays like this 😀

    Thank you for your help and patience!
