General tabs widget + static block of product filter widget not working properly together.

    I am having a difficult time trying to click on the tabs to switch between the different static blocks I have created for each tab.

    Can you please help me in trying to get the tabs to work? Again, I’d like the tabs and the search box to stay where they are, preferably.

    I have given given you temp access.

    General tab section is on the homepage, see screenshot.

    That worked like a charm, thank you.

    There is also another problem I am having with the search form.

    1. Please see the screenshot labelled Gap. Is there any way to reduce the gap between the tabs when viewed on mobile and the search box?

    2. Please see the screenshot labelled Broken. Apart from the car search box which works perfectly, all the other search boxes for the corresponding other tabs are broken.

    3. I tried to do a video recording of this problem but doesn’t seem like you can attach videos on here let me know if I am wrong. See screenshot labelled Drop down. When I select any drop down box on any search box it goes a little wild and opens and closes again and again when I only pressed it once.

    For me this issue happens when 1) Looking at my website through my mobile and 2) When in mobile responsiveness setting while in editing view mode in Elementor (this is where all the screenshots have come from.)

    I can’t recreate the issue if I am on my laptop and I minimise my window width all the way down so the page is forced into mobile view. So it works fine like that. But not on my mobile and not in editing mode in Elementor.

    1. We noticed that the tab sections on mobile devices were set with a -50px adjustment. We have modified this to -90px to improve alignment. You can view the updated setting here: https://prnt.sc/4omLsNGOZfD4. The adjustment brings the elements much closer to the desired positioning, as shown here: https://prnt.sc/EIJF9IuRSA-K.

    2. To further enhance the appearance of the tabs element on the homepage, you may consider adding the following custom CSS (navigate to Advanced -> Custom CSS):

    @media only screen and (max-width: 768px) {
        .selector .etheme-product-filters-item-title .title-text {
            white-space: normal;
        }
    }

    We intended to implement this change for you, but it appears you are currently editing the homepage. Please let us know once you are done, or if you would like us to proceed with the addition.

    3. We have identified a bug related to the use of identical filter widgets for the same attribute names in tabs. We have noted this for a global resolution and will notify you as soon as a solution is found.

    Hello @Applesandcider,
    We have implemented a fix for the 3rd question in next file xstore/js/modules/ethemeGeneralTabs.min.js but it seems that FTP connection you provided direct us to the empty directory. That’s why we would like to us to manually reupload the file provided in private area. Waiting for your feedback about the results.

    Hi Jack,

    So I realised I don’t need the general tabs in mobile, users can just use the category section of the product filter to swap between services.

    However the issue that you just implemented a fix for is still happening, so I’d like to see if your fix helps, so I have given you the updated FTP info that should work now as I am not sure how add the file to my website. Could you please add it and I will check to see if it works?

    Hi,

    To confirm, if the fix you did was for the following problem (next paragraph) then I can confirm it hasn’t worked for me and it’s still doing it? I have tried to clear cache on browser also. Any idea about why it is not showing on my end? Thanks

    Hi Jack,

    I have seen your video and can confirm it unfortunately does not do that on my side.

    Please see attached the video of how it looks for me.

    I can confirm that in the video I am using Microsoft Edge, but I have also tested it on Chrome and incognito/private viewing all of which had the same results.

    I have cleared browser cache, Elementor cache, and purged cache on Cloudflare. I wasn’t sure whether Cloudflare was needed as it’s connected to my production site not staging but did it anyway just incase.
