    Hi

    As the title suggests, whenever you update a static block that is embedded into the product page – for example the ask an expert block that shows the pop-up form; it breaks the page layout and loses all elementor styling – yet it never happens until such time you edit and save one of the linked static blocks.

    Is there any reason for this?

    I can create a staging site and you can see yourself – but basically on the theme builder -> single product -> in the tabs – we have a shortcode pulling in delivery info block and for instance, the ask an expert popup below the product photo uses a static block – the moment I edit the static block and save it, the whole template styling is lost.

    This is a really bad flaw and I am unable to stop it from occurring even though all caching is off and elementor is regenerating external css files – it’s all very strange.

    Any idea what this is about?

    Thanks

    Hello @Niddy,

    Thank you for providing the details. We have tested the issue but were unable to reproduce it after publishing the static block (a video has been attached in the private area). During our testing, we also noticed a redirection related to the wp-config file upon page refresh, which suggests that you may have removed or refreshed your staging website this moment.

    Could you please record and share a video demonstrating the issue step by step so that we can review the exact replication process?

    Additionally, we recommend refreshing the single product page on frontend and checking whether the issue with broken styles persists after you modify the Static block. When updating the static block, our code triggers Elementor to regenerate its cache to ensure that all styles, including those for static block elements, are displayed correctly, the same as you can do manually in Elementor -> Tools -> Regenerate CSS.

    We also suggest adding the following custom CSS to resolve the styling issues with the vertical gallery containing multiple images. You can add this CSS globally in the Theme Options:

    @media only screen and (min-width: 650px) {
        .elementor-location-single .swiper-vertical-images .vertical-thumbnails-wrapper ul {
            overflow: hidden;
            padding-top: 0;
        }

        .elementor-location-single .swiper-vertical-images .vertical-thumbnails-wrapper li {
            display: inline-block;
            height: auto;
        }
    }

    Hello @Niddy,

    We apologize for the delay in our response, as we have been reviewing possible solutions for this issue. Could you please check it again now?

    We have made modifications in the following files:
    – et-core-plugin/app/controllers/elementor/modules/general.php
    – xstore-child/functions.php

    We carefully tested the issue on your staging website and did not notice any styling changes after re-saving a static block. Could you please verify this on your side?

    Best regards,

    Hi

    That seems to have sorted it so I can update the static block – however I cannot do the recent theme / et-core plugin update as even after copying the general / functions files – once updated, it loses styling again.

    Can you please add this as a patcher or something so it is fixed for other templates as this also occurs on a different site / licence we have.

    Thanks again

    Hello @Niddy,

    Please update your theme and the XStore Core plugin, and let us know once the update is complete. After receiving your confirmation, we will upload the necessary fixes directly to your website, as the modifications we previously made may not be included in the latest update.

    If you have changed the access credentials, please provide the updated details in the private content section.

    Hi

    It is updated and I did copy the line you added to functions and copied the edited general.php file but feel free to check and everything is the same as previous login – this is just a staging site so it’s fine to play around with it.

    If you do any edits please clarify what you do so I can mirror them into the live site.

    Thanks as always 🙂

    Hello @Niddy,

    We have checked and everything appears to be working correctly. You have added the code in the right places – congratulations. Could you please confirm that you have also tested it and that it works properly?

    Please note that the changes made in general.php will be included in the next update, so you will not lose them.

    Hello @Niddy,

    It is quite unusual, as we followed the same procedure and did not encounter any issues during our testing. Could you please attach the specific static block you updated, as well as a video of your testing process, so that we can replicate it step by step?

    We will also review the logs, as there might be another underlying issue. Since it was previously displayed correctly, the code itself should not have changed, unless there were some modifications in your server caching configuration or similar settings.

    Best regards,
