Hello. The update worked well, but I tried updating WP Bakery Visual Composer and I get “Update Failed” error. Everything else is updated (theme, wordpress, all other plugins). Any idea why Visual Composer update fails?

    Thanks.

Hi Stan. No, it’s not resolved. The CSS code I created (above) does not override the Legenda theme CSS. Thanks.

Hi Eva. Yes, this should work but doesn’t 😉 I added that after submitting this request. I’ll figure it out, but thank you.

Thanks Eva. Worked like a charm. I forgot to wrap that customization in a media query. Thanks for catching what should have been obvious to me 😉 Good eyes!

    Thanks again.

Hi Jack. No that didn’t work.

I’m using a child theme. Added the media query to my style.css and no go. I also tried adding to the default.custom.css of the parent just to see what would happen…didn’t work. Wondering why it won’t override. I checked and the child theme css is definitely coming after parent in <head> so I’m not sure what’s happening. Any ideas? Thank you.

Solved. I just created a class. As long as there is a class, WordPress doesn’t strip the element.

Hi Eva. Getting close but not exactly.

First I enabled WooCommerce Endpoints in the menu: Appearance > Menus > Screen Options > Show > check WooCommerce Endpoints. Cool. Now I drag the logout endpoint into the menu. It works…and disappears when a user is logged out, but how about that avatar and username?

The avatar could be achieved with a font-awesome css class? Just guessing. But that doesn’t show the username. There must be a way to display it the exact same way as My Account page (the legenda theme demo does this).

Thanks Eva. Yes…I did get it working on the My Account sidebar.

How do I get the user avatar and “logout” (when logged in) on Wishlist sidebar? I do understand how to create the sidebar. IT’s getting the avatar/logout link to appear when logged in.

In the theme’s demo wishlist, when logged in, it shows.

    [avatar] username
    logout
    My Account
    Wishlist
    Cart
    Log Out

Then when you logout, the avatar /username is removed.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the apology. I know you guys at support do your best to support, but complete documentation is a must have, not a nice to have. Hopefully, it will come soon.

Suggestion. Create a screenscast video demonstrating how to size images: set shop image sizes, product page sizes etc. What WooCommerce controls, what Legenda controls. It would save you hours of support replies.

    Thanks.

Thanks Eva. The documentation is so incomplete on sizing product images. It should be far more detailed with screenshots. There is confusion (that everyone seems to have) because it is unclear what images sizes woocommerce controls and which Legenda controls.

For example, Legenda has Theme Options > Single Product Page, which has width and height fields, but you have just told me you cannot change the size on single product pages. Why have the width and height fields available in Theme Options > Single Product Page then?

So far, I’ve learned the only product image size I have any control over is on product pages, which will set products in shop, categories, featured products, related products.

Single products are displaying at 500×500 – because I uploaded a square high res image – but I have no idea why it is at that size and there is no corresponding setting.

What does woo control? What does legenda control? Please tell the Legenda folks to update there docs. I like this theme, but this one issue with product size confusion and lack of documentation is making me sorry I purchased it.

Thank you. That’s strange. In this post: https://www.8theme.com/topic/resize-image-on-single-product-page/
you say it can be changed “Theme Options > Product Page Layout > Product Images Width and Product Images Height.”

I’ve tried that and it doesn’t work. So CSS is the only option?

Thanks very much, Eva! That is pretty huge. But…could you please answer my question about resizing images? No matter what I do, I cannot resize the main single product image or other images. I’ve read the docs, both Legenda and Woocommerce. Any guidance would be helpful.

    Thanks.

Robert…every time I try to find a solution I get “read the docs” I’ve read legenda’s docs and there is no information on this. I read woocommerce product image resizes and follow steps to regen thumbs. No result.

Nothing I do resizes images. I uploaded images that are all the same size. This shouldn’t be rocket surgery. I’ve spent hours on this issue alone. Getting a bit ridiculous. The support you guys provide is basically telling me to do what I’ve already tried.

Can you please investigate and offer a solution?

I’d like the zoom feature to work, the single product image to work…and it would be awesome if I had a source of information that could tell me how woo works with the theme so I wouldnt have to post to support to get this going. Legenda documentation is missing a LOT.

Help? What do you suggest. Sorry I sound frustrated, but this should be easy. Pretty basic funcdtionality. I see many, many , many (did I mention “many”), many people posting here and elsewhere about the lack of clarity or information on resizing photos. All i see is “change settings in woocommerce and regen thumbs”. How many times do the legenda developers need to hear that that is not working until it is improved…or documentation is improved?

    Thanks for listening 😉

Hi Robert. Did this…didn’t work. I set sizes in WooCommerce to:

    catalogue: 150 x 150
    single product images: 300×300
    product image gallery: 100×100.

Then I regenerated thumbnails. Images still appear at the size they were.

Hello. In addition to some zoom feature help, if someone could tell me how to make the main product image smaller here: http://soclutch.ca/product/blue-purse/ that would be very helpful. I tried settings many times, but failed miserably. Thanks!

    Hi Eva.

I followed the docs, Eva. Pretty sure I said that 😉 Not to complain too loudly as this is a great theme, but there are huge gaping holes in the documentation. Many things not covered. I followed it to the letter. Have the latest version. It didn’t install the homepage1. That’s okay. I have it figured out. Go ahead and close this thread if you like.

    Thanks for trying to help.

    Never mind. I got.

For anyone else who wants to know how to configure their shop. Make sure you add featured images to each product page (duh) or they won’t display, even if you have added a main image to the page. The main image is for the product only page only. The featured image is used everywhere else.

To create a homepage with featured products. Go to Settings > Products. Click the star in the products row to feature it.

To display featured items you’ve “starred” do this:

    1. Go to Pages > Home.
    2. In the Visual Designer click Add New Element > Content > Row.
    3. In the row click + to add new element. Choose WooCommerce >Featured Products
    4. Enter the number of featured products to display per page. In my case it was 3.
    5. Enter the number of columns you want to display per row. I chose 3.
    6. Update. Done.

This worked. I’m wondering if you could help me set up my products page. Can’t get them to display.

    You’ll see I have 2 categories.

If you click on categories, the products don’t show up. Though I’ve added 3 products in each category.

I’d like the product category page to look like:
    https://www.8theme.com/demo/legenda/product-category/bags/

And the functionality the same for quick view and the single product page. Missing something.

Thanks if you can help…and thanks if you can’t but can tell me how 😉

Yes Eva, I read the docs, thanks though.

I’m working a local machine and yes I did install the demo. I was told by Stan Russell of support:

    please import ‘corporate’ homepage.

    Regards,
    Stan Russell.”

I did install corporate and it looks like…well…the corporate theme. Not what I asked for. I asked for the Ecommerce theme demo pages which don’t seem to exist in the demo files. According to the Legenda homepage on ThemeForest is called “Ecommerce”.

Again, please look at this screenshot. Corporate and Ecommerce are two different themes. Corpoorate does exist in the xml data, Ecommerce does not.

    Thanks.

I imported the corporate theme as you suggested and it is nothing like homepage 1 of your themes.

I want the “Ecommerce” homepage1 and settings but there is no “ecommerce” xml-data for it.

    Like this:
