Updating Legenda that has Child Theme - by Tom

Hello. I need to update Legenda from version 2.9 to new version. I have a child theme. Do I only overwrite the parent theme “legenda” or do I need to change anything in the child theme? All customizations are in child. Just want to make sure it’s okay to update parent.

Hello,

You need overwrite only the parent theme.

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

Hello. The update worked well, but I tried updating WP Bakery Visual Composer and I get “Update Failed” error. Everything else is updated (theme, wordpress, all other plugins). Any idea why Visual Composer update fails?

Hello,

Download new plugin version here https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ and upload the extracted folder via FTP in wp-content/plugins directory, just overwrite current “js_composer” folder with a new one.
