    Provide us with WP Dashboard and FTP access to your site and our support staff will help you with theme update.
    Keep in mind that you made any changes in the royal theme files you need to move them to child theme to avoid loosing of these changes after theme update.

    I purchased this theme a few years ago and need to update it. I purchased a new copy can you give me some tech support on installing new version of royal theme over older version purchased years ago… is his the best way to update?
    Any instructions would be helpful…

    Hello,

    1) Use Private content area to add private information like access to FTP or Dashboard. In othe case all the visitors will get access to that.

    2) Provide FTP credential.

    I don’t understand exactly what you are saying here…

    Here is the info for the wordpress login do you need to access the site Via FTp or the godaddy control panel instead?

    Hello,

    We don’t need cPanel. Only FTP https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/what-is-ftp-and-how-do-i-use-it/
    FTP host, FTP user and FTP pass to proceed with theme update.

    Here is the FTP info I tested it this time and it works I apologize for sending on faulty info.
    I also updated the version of php to 7.1

    Hello,

    1) Thanks for the FTP but you provided access to empty directory http://prntscr.com/qesj3i We need access to your WP installation, so check the destination folder for the FTP user that you provided.
    2) PHP version is still 5.6 http://prntscr.com/qesjry You can check it in the WooCommerce > System status.

    I updated the path to send you to the root please use the info I tested it and it works

    Hello,

    FTP is ok, thanks. Why don’t you update PHP version? 5.6 version of the PHP will cause issues for you. It’s out of date version.
    Also, we face the following error very ofter http://prntscr.com/qf42ll Once we try to open some backend page we get that error first and the page appears only after reloading. Could you, please, fix it also? Because it missing impossible to update the theme with such loading of the backend.

    I have increased the resources for the site This should solve the connection timed out errors and set it the PHP to version 7.1 …
    Let me know if there is anything else you may need…

    Hello,

    We have updated the theme and all the bundled plugins. Unfortunately, you need to recreate the slider because you used a very old version of the plugin and after update the previously created slider was removed.

Also, we found that you have some problems with the file permissions on your server http://prntscr.com/qhh73u Contact hosting provider, fix this issue and then go to Tools > Regenerate thumbnails > regenerate all the thumbnails because you have broken images at some pages http://prntscr.com/qhh7sn
