Hello XStore Support Team,
We are running XStore on big-shotter-fireworks.co.uk (WooCommerce). Google Search Console is crawling a large number of URLs containing the ?add-to-cart= parameter. These come from the theme’s add-to-cart buttons on the shop, category and taxonomy pages. Examples (last crawled Oct 10, 2026):
https://big-shotter-fireworks.co.uk/product/bg-shotter-fireworks-air-jam-2/?add-to-cart=2393
https://big-shotter-fireworks.co.uk/?taxonomy=pa_firework-category&term=fountain&add-to-cart=215988
https://big-shotter-fireworks.co.uk/?fgf_master_log=218253&add-to-cart=215993
https://big-shotter-fireworks.co.uk/?ignorenitro=4c85e827e20590c4cf4ac825d76da017&add-to-cart=184309
https://big-shotter-fireworks.co.uk/product/big-shotter-fireworks-apocalypse-500-shot-single-ignition/?add-to-cart=3892
https://big-shotter-fireworks.co.uk/product-category/fireworks-under-10/?view_mode=grid&view_mode_smart=yes&et_columns-count=5
These URLs are duplicates of existing pages. They waste crawl budget, create duplicate content, and harm our SEO and indexing reports.
Required changes
Stop XStore from outputting add-to-cart buttons as crawlable links on shop loops, category pages, product grids and quick view. The buttons must work via AJAX only, with no crawlable href.
Add rel=”nofollow” to every add-to-cart link the theme generates.
Stop the view_mode, view_mode_smart and et_columns-count parameters from being output as crawlable links, or add rel=”nofollow” to them as well.
Release this fix in a theme update, or send us the exact code snippet or filter so it is applied on our site.
Environment: XStore (latest version), WooCommerce, Elementor, NitroPack. The Search Console screenshot is attached.
