    Hello,

    I have a few questions about organize the product page and hope you can help me.
    I want to display some content next to the image of the product, that the customer get a quick overview when the product is displayed.
    At this point I add attributes (for variations off course) and attributes for information.
    If you look at the images, you see 2 (information) attributes “kleding kleur” and “merk”.
    http://prntscr.com/91ej41
    http://prntscr.com/91ei8r

    Is it possible to show the attributes outside the tab “extra information”?
    For example: show the attributes next to the images, and set the tabs type to under the content in the theme settings?

    I also added custom fields with information, bud the fields aren’t visible at the product page.
    Can I make them visible? And if so, how is that shown up front-end?
    (I ask this because I am searching for a way to order the content in the right way.. maybe add some information trough attributes, and other trough custom fields… you know what I mean?)

    And I have enabled the sidebar on the product page, which is good because of the navigation I want to use. Bud as you can see, the brand doesn’t belong there. Is there an way to make the brand visible anywhere else?
    I think the nicest option is to add a line in text format like “Brand: Product brand” and add them by the SKU, Categories and Tags lines. This way I prefer because the brand is then clickable.
    Bud that’s just my thoughts… maybe there are other ways?

    And last question.
    http://prntscr.com/91es00
    At this image you see a variable product and the way the price is shown. I only get this by variables, not by simple products.
    Note: I imported the products WP All Import. Did I something wrong, or is this a setting option, or… how can this be fixed?

    Almost forgot…if I look in chrome by developer tools I get errors, is this caused by plugins?
    I can’t update 2 plugins, also tried trough FTP and didn’t work…

    Thanks you in advance!
    Fr Regards,
    Jorien

    Hello,

    1. In this case you need create variable product https://docs.woothemes.com/document/variable-product/ .

    2. Please provide us with wp-admin panel credentials to check custom tabs issue.

    3. To remove brand logo from sidebar use this code in Theme Options > Custom CSS > Global Custom CSS:

    .single-product-sidebar .product-brands {
        display: none;
    }

    4. Please update the theme to the latest version and Woocommerce as well.
    Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/royal/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
    Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

    Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

    (it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    I am sorry bud I send you the email to quick, you aks for wp-admin credentials that you find below.
    And for the rest, I created a variable product. Bud the custom fields, when they filled with information, should that normally be visible inside the theme?

    And for the brands, is it possible to make them visible elsewhere? Like I said, prefer it in the same format and same place with the SKU, categories and Tags lines.

    As for the updates, i will ask someone else to take a look at, because I am afraid to mess it up!
    Bud have the latest WC version, right? Because of the prices that are shown twice inside variable products.

    Again, thank you!

    Hello,

    Please clarify where you added custom fields. As I see you have only one custom tab created in Theme Options > Single Product Page > Custom Tab Title.

    You can show brands in sidebar using Brands filter widget.
    Unfortunately it can’t be added to the place with SKU, categories and Tags lines.

    May we update the theme and plugins for you?

    Please create a back up of the files and database and let us know.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

    Yes, please update it for me 😀 thanks!

    And about the custom field, I added it inside one product, in this case product ID 105498 “Mimi…..Covers”
    This is also the first product when you click in the admin on products.
    I added a field and select “attribute_pa_merk” and fill in the value “Bijoux Indiscrets” and I added/created a new field “kleur” with the value “rood”.

    And as for the brands, is it possible in anyway to make it clickable? So that it works the same way as a link?

    Friendly Regards,
    Jorien

    Hey Eva,

    That is better, thanks! Bud still a few questions…

    1) I removed the quantity field on the product pages by adding this to the custom .css:

    .cart .quantity {display:none
    }

    Bud as I see now, this works only for the simple products, not for a variable..
    simple product vieuw: http://prntscr.com/91oj9s
    and a variable: http://prntscr.com/91ojoz

    2) About the custom fields. You said “As I see you have only one custom tab created in Theme Options > Single Product Page > Custom Tab Title.”
    Do you mean that I have to “activate” the custom fields inside a tab that is shown on the product pages?

    3) For the product page lay-out, I just want to find out what the best way is to fill in my content.
    As I said before I import my products with a .csv that I created by myself. So to change some data values is a small job.
    The visible content front-end are mostly attributes. Thats good, because i can use this also for the filtering widgets.
    Bud most information is static information and I THINK that it is nicer to add some info with the custom fields.
    So I just want to see what possibilities are.
    (also because finally i want to add some custom content with some fields – like infolist or icons inside the demo.)
    Also when I add products, I can write ANY php.function that I can use inside all the text fields. The title, description and custom fields.
    Is it possible trough that way, that the brand name is shown as I described earlier?
    think with me how i can accomplish this?

    4) Still for the product page.. is it possible to make the button for the cart smaller and put the item price and cart button together on the same line?
    And is it possible to set the product variations like an select field? In stead of the drop down now.

    5) When you look at a product page, you see the image in slide < > arrows.
    If I want to see the last image, I click on < bud that didn’t work. It works only if I click fist on > then I can choose to go back until the first image.
    You don’t have this issue on the category page.
    AND, the slider for brands on my homepage has the same issue. Can this be fixed for all slides? Or only the slide on product page?

    6) I still get an plugin update on my admin for “Plugin Master Slider Pro” I tried this before, bud didn’t work then.. can you take a look at this plugin for me?

    Hope you understand me, because of my English.. If it isn’t clear, please let me know!
    Maybe if I draw a template it is better to understand 🙂

    And thanks again for your’e support!
    Regards Jorien.

    Hello,

    1. Please use this css code:

    .quantity {
      display: none !important;
    }

    2. Could you please show a screenshot what you want to achieve and where custom field should be displayed?

    3. Sorry, but this requires additional customization which is beyond our basic support. You can add product content in the product description in text editor.

    4. Add this code in Theme Options > Custom CSS > Custom CSS for desktop:

    .product-information .cart button[type="submit"] {
        width: 215px !important;
        margin-top: 20px;
    }
    .product-information .price {
        width: auto !important;
    }

    is it possible to set the product variations like an select field?

    Sorry, but there is no such possibility.

    5. We’ll take this into account and fix in the theme update.

    6. I’ve updated MasterSlider plugin. Please check.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Hello Jack,
    Thanks for the reply.

    1) The given code for the quantity works on both products, thanks!

    2) I added a screenshot in the private content because I’m not proud of my artist skills 😉
    In my head it looks different.. Bud every time I change something I make it worse.. SORRY
    Bud I think you get an global idea what I want. I set some content like the tabs different then it is know, because I thought that was nicer…. Bud as you can see, it isn’t.
    Bud I hope that the image give you an idea what I want to accomplish.
    If not, please let me know! maybe it is better that I draw it on paper and make a picture of it 😉

    also, I add another image. I don’t know if you can do anything with it, bud if a product has different colours for example, i want to make it visible front-end.

    3) What exectly do you mean by “additional customization”? If you mean to write a php.function for the brand – I understand that such a thing is beyond support!
    I only want to know IF I add a php.function inside a field – is it shown front-end? – and WHERE will it be shown?
    If I need any help with to fill in my data (for example to write a custom php.functions that I can run during the import) I get all the support I need from them.
    They can help me to import any kind of data, bud they can’t help me how data will be shown front-end.

    4) The code works to make the cart button smaller. Bud it didn’t place the € price and cart button on the same line, and it also messed up the whislist and email icon.
    See: http://prntscr.com/91vrk1

    And at least, thank you for updating the plugin and also thank you for fixing the slide with theme update.

    Hello,

    2. Please take our apologies but your query requires a lot of work and templates files should be overwritten. We don’t provide such customization. We recommend you to contact some developer (freelancer) to create needed template.

    3. You can’t add php code in custom fields.

    4. As we removed quantity box the place is empty, but price can’t be moved to the same line where “Add to Cart” button is. You can only change order of the elements as described here:
    http://wpbackoffice.com/reorder-product-page-contents-woocommerce/

    Eva Kemp.

    Hello there!

    I understand it completely that you can’t support me with that!
    And actually, it wasn’t my intention to ask for any customization within the theme.
    At the beginning I only wanted to know if I add a custom field, where will that be shown up front?
    Bud I think that my bad English don’t make it any easier to understand what I am asking for.. And that along with my artist skills…
    So, I added some screens together about the import. Just to give you a better idea of what I am talking about!
    You can find them in the first image I add in the private content.
    And the second screen I added to give you an idea of the possibilities.

    Now comes my question(s): If I add a custom field, will it be shown front-end?
    And if so, where will it be placed?

    4) Thank you for that URL, that’s very useful!

    Thanks again, also for your’e patience.

    Regards, Jorien

    Hello,

    Custom field will be displayed on front-end. How to make it visible you can read here:

    Ok, thanks!
    Because I saw the custom fields inside the import, I thought that the theme hold “overwrite” it or something like that.
    Maybe a stupid question, bud if they are activated, WHERE are the custom fields be placed?
    And because they aren’t visible, will it just works fine with the theme for now and in the future?
    Also because I didn’t see questions like this before on the forum… It isn’t a stupid thing to do, right?

    Regards Jorien

    Hello,

    The fields will be shown after your product description at the bottom. To make them shown read paragraph “Displaying Custom Fields” of the article I provided you with.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
