    Hello,

I would like to insert my email subscription widget into the header beside “search” as shown in the image below.

    http://imgur.com/8O4bAaz

I know I need to insert a line of code to have the widget displayed: <?php do_shortcode( ‘[enewsletter_subscribe]’ ); ?>

Could you please let me know which file/line that code should go?

I’ve tried inserting it in header.php after line 97 (i.e., after
    <?php if (etheme_get_option(‘search_form’)): ?>

    <?php endif ?>)

But nothing showed up. I know the shortcode works when I put it in a page. So I’m wondering if I placed the codes at the wrong place or perhaps the code is not working.

    Thanks!

    Jean

    Hello,

You can add that shortcode to the top panel on the left side using “Place in header top bar” widget area where you can place Text widget with that shortcode.

    Thank you.

    Thanks, Eva! That worked!

In addition, could you tell me where I can edit the layout of the archive page of a category of the items in the portfolio? It doesn’t seem to follow the layout of the “BlogPost”.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

To show projects in portfolio categories in grid type you can use Teaser (posts) Grid element and choose categories needed.

    Hi Eva,
Thanks for the prompt reply. However, I’m afraid I don’t quite follow. Specifically:

    (1) Where to I go to choose the “teaser (posts) Grid element” and the categories?

    (2) Do I need to create a new Page or a new Post? Or am I editing an existing page/post/something else?

    (3) I see in the Visual Composer, there’s a “Teaser Box”. But I don’t see anywhere to set “grid” or choose “categories”.

I also see there’s an option to “enable Custom teaser”. However, I don’t see anywhere to set “grid” or choose categories either.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

You need create a new page. In Visual Composer editor select Posts Grid element. You should select “etheme_portfolio” for the Post types field. Edit the next settings to your needs.

    Thank you.

    Thanks, Eva.

The Post Grid element doesn’t seem to work properly. I chose to have Image + title displayed. This is what I got.

    Hi Eve,

If this is a big issue to fix, can you tell me which php file I can edit to edit this page (the project archive page)?

Or perhaps let me know where I can choose the sidebar for that page. Also, as you can see, the “contents” shown for each recipe are different before the “read more” button. I would like to make them the same (i.e., showing just the featured image and title).

    Thanks!

    Hi Eva,
Was someone from your end testing my website? Yesterday my Theme Options were reset, and just now, it was switched from my child them to the original theme. I’ve disabled the account access for the moment.
Since I’ve been pressed on time, I’ve gone with an alternate solution now. So thanks for all your help!

    Hello,

Please check the page http://www.cookpower.com.tw/%E8%82%89%E9%A1%9E/ now.
The reason was you didn’t specify dimensions for images in Posts Grid settings.

    Thank you.

    Eva Kemp.

    Hi Eva,

Thanks for getting back to me!

The page is fine when it was first opened. However, when I click reload, the image got scrambled up again. It’s random. I’m not sure why. I tried setting image size to 200×200, 300×300, medium, 300 (as it was when I got your message), but nothing worked when reloaded.

I’ve switched to using Posts for my recipe now, so this won’t be an issue for me anymore.

Again, thank you very much for all your help!

    Cheers,
    Jean
