Hello,

filesystem => direct is required if you want to install plugins and child theme using setup wizard but you can also skip setup wizard and do this manually from Appearance > Install plugins and Appearance > Themes > add new, after that import demo content via XStore > Import Demos.
Can you upload an image when a default theme is activated on your site?

No I can not upload any image, Menu is gone,
Grid builder is not installed
Media, menu is not installed

Hello,

Please provide temporary wp-admin and FTP acccess.
If images can’t be uploaded to your media library even with a default theme, it means the problem doesn’t relate to our theme. You need to contact WordPress support or your hosting provider.

You need to solve this problem first. Because it is independent of our theme, we can’t help, unfortunately.

Please provide temporary FTP access (hostname, username, password, port). One of our technicians will check this problem on Monday (due to the weekend). Then we will let you know if the hosting should be changed or maybe we will be able to solve the problem.

one question about categories, can we have sup-categories? I will have lots of products, example: Painting then sub categorized to poster print, canvas print, etc, then Tshirt, sub categorized : men women kids etc,

Hello,

1) While we trying to install bundled plugin we get the following error http://prntscr.com/qbgil7 That means that your server does not allow to create the directory and install plugin because of writing limited permissions. We can’t install not just bundled plugin but even default WordPress plugin https://gyazo.com/7bf3519d80ab64d4d4be31296093309a As a rule, it’s not a very big problem because plugin could be installed via FTP but we can’t connect to your FTP using credentials that you provided http://prntscr.com/qbgkdr
I don’t know why it works for you and does not work for us. Maybe you provided the incorrect password or maybe your hosting has any other limits.

So, either contact your hosting provider and ask to fix the folder permissions to allow you to install plugin via WP Dashboard or install plugin via FTP if you can connect to your FTP without any issues. Download plugin here https://www.8theme.com/downloads/ extract plugin archive and copy extracted folder to wp-content/plugins on your server. Activate plugin from Dashboard after that.

2) You can create product categories and subcategories in Products > Categories. Choose the parent category for your subcategory while creating or editing.

Hi, It seems they also have difficulty to access files, is the theme allow only for FTP access? does the theme needs more than 750MB?

They wrote to me:

First of all, our system administrator noticed that you have a a custom hosting with 750 MB of space but 751 of it are used, so we recommend you to buy more space.

In default settings, WP installations on our servers do have direct access to filesystem. If your plugin/theme detects that only FTP access is available for some reason, it is most probably due to changes you or your theme/plugin did, that made WP to switch to next available access method. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about how WP does this detection, so can’t give specific advice to you.

Hello,

Theme archive is 5.5Mb + additional plugins (up to 50Mb in total depending on what of bundled plugins you decide to use). So, if your disk space is full we would recommend you attentively check all the files that you use there or maybe archives that you uploaded. Remove all the unnecessary files and archives that you probably have on your FTP.
