Perfect, thanks for this. I changed the tranlation in the Xstore theme as it was saying something about there were no translations file set up in the child.

It works perfectly, just a couple of questions:
    – willl these remain if I update the theme
    – I’ve just changed a couple of strings – using this plugin to do this, is this going to have an impact on site speed at all?

    Thanks!

    Hi Olga,

Thanks for resolving this. In terms of the template files, when I installed the theme and woocommerce etc, Woocommerce was flagging 2 files as red – that it said were out of date and needed updating. So i followed through their instructions to green light them which it did.

Nevertheless, the issue is solved and I am incredibly grateful. Fantastic theme and fantastic support, really appreciate it!

    Thanks!

    Richard

PS also, when you click on the images, they don’t open in ajax or what ever it is and you aren’t able to go left or right. And to go back, clicking off, somewhere on the black doesn’t close the window, you actually have to click the back button….

so bizarre though I’m sure I’m overlooking a simple checkbox somewhere!

    Many thanks,

    Richard

    Hi Olga,

Thanks for this, I can see where I was slipping up!

As for my second point here is what I am trying to do:
    – my menu is left aligned in the header
    – I want the sub-menus (mega menu specifically) to align itself with the left edge of the parent menu item, rather than centered under it. It’s not a bit deal for normal sub-menus as they are about the same width as the parent menu item. However, the mega menus would look way better if it was left aligned with the parent menu item.

Specifically, you can see the mega menu on the ‘Courses’ menu item. You see that it comes out centrally underneath the word ‘Courses’ where as actually I would like the left edge to to remain in aligned to the left edge of the word ‘Courses’

    Does this make sense?

I think it’s like one line of change in css but I can’t figure out which!

    Many thanks!

    Richard

The translation files? Is that a function I’ve got to add to my functions.php?

    Thanks!

Hi, I also have a question about how to get the open menu on the left to stay open and look the way it looks on the demo?
Any direction to do this would be great, thanks!

Hi, I’ve just used those same username and password to log in. I’ve added the credentials again in the private content as well as FTP details.

Also, just a heads up, the home page loads fine, but it’s other pages that just get stuck on the 8theme loader.

    Many thanks!

Hi, just to say I resolved this myself.
I changed it so that it uses the Visual Composer add on Tabs instead of the normal Visual Composer tabs. This seems to work so. Perhaps there is some incompatibility with the Grid Images add on and the normal tabs.

Anyway, for anyone else with the same problem, use the Visual Composer add on tabs with Grid images!

    Thanks

    Fantastico!

Thanks for your help, yet again!

And thanks for the kudos on the site. I love XStore because you’ve obviously got a keen design eye and it looks great out of the box, ESPECIALLY the checkout pages. The way those are designed makes the user experience very clear and intuitive. Currently, any ecommerce site I’m making will always use XStore for this reason.

    Thanks again

I will turn off the primary category so that its no longer using a Yoast breadcrumbs feature and this may solve the problem. It just seems bizarre that it’s showing the parent and one of the child categories… Did you see the screenshot above?

I do appreciate the help you’re trying to give. I’m not an advanced developer and I don’t feel like I’ve done anything particularly unexpected. I’m just confused that after making a simple post and selecting the categories that I’m getting results different to that seen in the Xstore demos.

I’m not bothered about having a primary category, I just don’t want a parent category and a random child category showing in the breadcrumbs? Only the parent category should show which seems to be how the demos work on Xstore site. Would appreciate if you could take a quick look under the hood.

    Many thanks again,

    Rich

Not checked with the other theme, will have to install it.

However, I’ve not got the Yoast breadcrumbs turned on, should I?

Not touched any of those settings, it’s been this way for ages, since I installed it, any other tips as to what it could be?!

    Thanks

Thanks for looking into it for me. However, I’m not sure where you mean me to look?

Choose Blog page on which setting screen? And then check my product category?

I should also mention that the same thing is happening on my Product category pages also – how can I get it to just use the normal grey bear breadcrumbs on these pages too?

Thank you for your quick response!

I am only a little bit familiar with PHP. Will you point me in the direction of the chunk of php in the single.php that is responsible for displaying the post meta so I can copy and paste it in to the relevant line in xstore/framework/template-elements.php?

If you could that would be fab!

    Kind regards,

    Richard

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

In the demo here: https://www.8theme.com/demo/xstore/engineer/shop/ I notice that there are Add to Cart buttons under the products (even a ‘Read more’) button and I’m wondering how do I get that to display using the [8THEME] Products element?

Is there an option to see the Add to Cart button on the products as per this page: https://www.8theme.com/demo/xstore/engineer/shop/

This is what I’m really looking for.

    Thank you!
