I have the same issue. Trying to add the sidebar type to custom post types. The solution I found, if anyone else has the problem is to use “Display Widgets” plugin. It lets you control which pages each widget is/or isn’t displayed on. You can put a widget in the main sidebar and then only display it on the custom post type. It works.

Ok So I solved the problem if anyone else is experiencing this. the problem is that the “X” to delete the item from cart goes to an HTTPS link and the cart by default is HTTP. So what I did was install a plugin “Really Simple SSL” to make my entire site SSL. It’s a good idea anyway the way Google is going with security and ranking, etc. That completely fixes the problem. Both the cart update and calculate shipping work perfectly when started from an HTTPS page.

Just a reminder, I replaced cart.php with an older version of the theme. At least the cart quantity update works.

With the latest version, neither the cart update quantity or delete item works. Also, the shipping calculator doesn’t work.

However, if you right click the delete icon and open in a new window it works fine.

One other update, I just noticed the “calculate shipping” doesn’t work either, same issue, goes to cart is empty and doesn’t update the shipping info.

Actually I did figure out how to hide it with css eventually. Im a bit under the weather today but will post the solution in case anyone else has the problem. Sorry I meant to do that yesterday.

It turns out my database was corrupted. I did a database repair all tables and everything works properly. Sorry to panic.

I just tried it with Firefox and VC works fine. It’s an issue it looks like with Chrome browser. I haven’t tried any others, but using Firefox is a workaround that works for me.

Thanks. I’ve got 3-4 sites I’m building right now all with Royal Theme and none of them work. If you can fix it, please let me know so I can continue work on the other sites as well. I’m kind of stuck and can’t build anything because all of my development sites use Royal Theme and VC. I’ve also tried disabling all other plugins too. That didn’t help. The only thing that works is to switch to a different theme. Login info is in private content.

Just to be clear, you can edit a page, add a row or something, but none of the widgets will insert, hope that makes sense.

I have the same problem. Visual composer is not working. When you go to add and element nothing happens. I have the latest version of wordpress, the latest version of Royal Theme and the latest version Visual composer. Everything is up to date and it doesn’t work.

However, when I switch to a default theme like twentysixteen, it works perfectly. I suspect it’s something in the Royal Theme.

I just spent a day with trial and error to get this right. I am also using Legenda theme. It has to do with minification of CSS and JS. Here are the settings that worked for me to make the site as fast as possible without breaking the mobile responsiveness:

HTML MINIFICATION:

Check enable
check inline JS minification
check line break removal
all others off

JS MINIFICATION

Check enable
all others off

CSS MINIFICATION

do not enable. Any combination here will break the responsiveness.

Another option is to set minification to “manual” in general settings and then add the JS and CSS files one by one, clear the cache, check, add the next one, etc. until you figure out which file is the problem. This could take hours. If anyone does it and finds which JS and CSS files to remove from minification please let me know.

Hey I fixed it!!!

I did two things, not sure which ones fixed it.

I changed the thumbnail size to square 480x 480 (just a note the images are 600×600 originally)
Then I changed the “show related products” to OFF

Product pages loaded fast.

So I turned show related products back ON

Product pages loaded fast.

Not sure if it was changing the thumbnail size or just turning the related products on/off that fixed it.

Works great.

I too have this problem. I only have 15 products. The rest of the site works fine, but when you go to a product it takes like 15 seconds to load the page. Catagory pages, etc. load fine so it’s not an image or server issue as far as I can tell.

I tried the hard crop option on/off, no help.

Anyone able to solve this?
