You misunderstood Eva.
I already have a plugin that changes the url from product and product-category to my own category title.
It was more about adding pages rather than categories to the shop sidebar like it currently does with the categories for products.
But I recently got told google like to see categories.
Thanks
Thank you Eva …. also
How about calling the woosearch on the 404 error page, I think this would be a nice addition for anyone ending up there.
What code would I add for that?
just to advise you, you forgot to close the margin-bottom:0 with an ;
topic can be closed as working fine with that code.
Brokendancer,
Excuse me jumping on your topic again lol
I have fullwidth so looks great on mobiles, tablets etc but on big screens it would be good to have it boxed.
Eva or the team, is that possible for larger screens to be boxed?
Ok, thanks Eva
What lines would I change please?
Thanks Brian, I will what you said and get back to confirm all is ok.
its ok, I worked it out and see what you mean, needs to be url not local for the path
could something like this be put into this theme?
http://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-product-search/
seems more user responsive as the user types?
Eva,
this does make sense, most people wont evenknow to do this??
Also your suggestion does not work as I tried it and it showed more products then just “iphone 5” ??
The search feature is not very good
*** IF YOU ARE USING THIS THEME WITH WORDPRESS SEO PLUGIN PLEASE READ ***
I can confirm that this theme with visual composer causes an issue with WordPress SEO, it wipes out the title and descriptions on the home page after doing a change.
I have now installed another SEO plugin which does not cause this issue at all.
So to me for the moment WordPress SEO and Visual Composer are not playing nice together, it’s a shame as I have used WordPress SEO for a long time.
I am testing out another SEO plugin, so far (fingers crossed) on updating it seems to work and not change the settings!
I do believe this is a conflict with WordPress SEO (Yoast) and visual composer, I think you shoud make them aware of this bug.
I have deactivated wordpress seo for now.
I have spent a huge amount of time adding seo title’s and descriptions and really do not want to lose those settings, that is hours of work alone!
Just a thought … you need to add the read more link so all the blog post does not show.
click on the button where it says more on the editor in text mode (not visual mode)
Place that where you want i.e. after the first paragraph maybe.
Hope that helps
Daniel,
can you explain how you solved this, I’m looking at installing a font this way … what did you do wrong?
I’m convinced this is a visual composer / WP Bakery conflict!
Your theme comes bundled with this so all the customers you sell it to on theme forest can’t go running to them for support.
I need this issue resolving, I have updated the plugins and no difference at all.
I have spent a lot of time working on this theme.
I need someone to closely look at this issue now.
Just wiped out my settings again, this time after going in and changing something!
This is driving me nuts this theme!
BrokenDance,
Not tried that to be fair.
I have reduced load time by doing several things already, WP Smush, GZip etc etc
Looking into WP Super Cache as some say go for W3 and some say go for WP Super
I have used the P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) and Screets Live Chat that came bundled with this theme came up as the most hungry resource hog.
I have disabled it and will most probably delete it.
Question for Eva or the team
The biggest resource hog for me is the revolution slider with the images, this is causing a slower load time then I would like, other than optimising what is the best way of keeping load time down on this other than fully disabling it!
Thanks
This seems like a good read: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2014/06/25/how-to-speed-up-your-wordpress-website/
Good luck, we all want quick loading websites for our viewers / customers.
Notice on the post above, it says your hosting company can vary on the speed of your website.
Sorry to butt-in but you have Gzip enabled?
If you can’t do this contact your host.
Check for Gzip here: http://checkgzipcompression.com
everything worked ok eva,
3) works ok on the iPhone in portrait mode but big gap remain in landscape mode?
4) this code made the image bigger on mobiles but also cut the image off either side?
Eva,
Many thanks for this, I will implement this and confirm everything is ok.
Your theme has done a great job of my new website!
Eva,
Can I ask if a little favour, could you check my functions.php file, when ever I add code to this it can make my home page slider not load.
Thanks again for your quick response!
I have now resolved the issue no 2) with the #more being in the web page url
I found this code for the fucntions which removes the #more in the page url
function remove_more_link_scroll( $link ) {
$link = preg_replace( '|#more-[0-9]+|', '', $link );
return $link;
}
add_filter( 'the_content_more_link', 'remove_more_link_scroll' );
This seems to have solved the issue with number 6) and now when clicking on the ‘ read more ‘ button it goes to the top of the page now.
issues still to be resolved are….
3)
4)
5)
Just wanted to add another issue I have
6) I notice when I click on the read more button and it goes though to the blog post, for some reason it does not go to the top of the page, it starts near the bottom?
Not really good that a visitor to the website has to scroll up to the top of the page to read the blog post??
**** I HAVE RESOLVED ISSUE 1) ******
I added .read-more (float:left;)
thanks
Brian,
no its within the blog item page, the image there does not go full width.
On the blog list I understand because of the sidebar.
i’m asking what side the image should be inside the page?
Eva,
sorry my lovely yes I found a solution WP-Print which is a simple plugin that works by adding a short code to any page.
Thanks!
Thanks Eva, That’s better.
Eva,
many thanks for sorting the margin-bottom for the home page, thats perfect now!
With regards to the seo settings changing it does not always do it on every change, every now and again when changing or adding something to the home page content it will just wipe out the seo settings? its strange!
ANOTHER ISSUE BELOW ….
Also can I ask you to look at my contact page, for some reason the revolution slider goes to far up into the navigation (full width) its only by a few pixels but it overlaps.
page in private content.
I purchased a different testimonial plugin which works ok with your theme.
