    Hi 8Theme Team,

We’ve found a bug with the XStore mini cart icon that needs your attention.

    The Issue:
The mini cart icon works perfectly on every page of the site — except the Cart page and Checkout page, where clicking it does nothing (the mini cart panel does not open at all). On all other pages, it opens and functions correctly.

    What we’ve tried:
We also tested an alternative mini cart / cart icon setup as a workaround, but it produces the exact same result — it fails to open specifically on the Cart and Checkout pages. This suggests the issue isn’t isolated to one widget/element, but something on those two page templates themselves (possibly a script conflict or a setting that disables/overrides the mini cart there).

    What we need:
    1. Is there a known XStore setting that intentionally disables or overrides the mini cart on the Cart/Checkout pages? If so, how can we turn it off?
    2. If this is a bug, please advise on a fix.

Please look into this as soon as possible.

    Thanks.

    Hello, pckeycallout,

This behavior is standard practice for WooCommerce and modern themes. The Mini Cart script is intentionally disabled on the Cart and Checkout pages for the following reasons:

    1. Performance & Speed: The Cart and Checkout pages already run heavy AJAX scripts for rate calculations, address validation, and payment gateways. Disabling duplicate mini cart scripts reduces unnecessary page bloat and improves loading time.
    2. Preventing Conflicts: Running mini cart scripts alongside the native WooCommerce checkout scripts can cause script/event conflicts or duplicate AJAX requests.
    3. User Experience: Since the customer is already on the checkout or cart page reviewing their items, the mini cart popup becomes redundant and can distract from completing the purchase.

If you still require the mini cart panel to be functional specifically on these two pages, we can make a small custom modification for you to unlock this functionality.

Please provide us with your FTP access details (FTP Host, Username, Password) in the Private Content section, and our team will implement this customization for you.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
