Hi there,

Love this theme I’m currently using the Engineer theme.
Currently the slider is showcasing products with links to them.

My question was I would like to use categories instead of products is this possible if so
how would I do this?

So when they click it would link them to a products within that category page.

Hello,

Thank you for using our theme!

Revolution slider has only 2 Post Types to show: Products and Products Variation from category http://prntscr.com/cvcepf

If you want to show product categories you can use the same carousel slider but change content source type to default and create slides with your categories. Use category image as slide BG or as additional layer. Then you’ll be able to add link for every slide(category in your case) http://prntscr.com/cvchdk

Hi there,

Thanks for your response however I am still not understanding.

So using the same slider I changed the settings like you have it on “Link & SEO tab” to regular etc.
All that did was remove the links to products.

But the products are still being pulled through products. I would like to use categories instead.
I currently have all category images set.

Can you give me a step by step guide on doing this?

Hi I actually figured out what you meant.

However now I cant see the upcoming image on the slider it is displaying one by one.
Is there a way to display the upcoming one?

Hello,

You need to choose carousel type of slider and set smaller width of slider grid https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-setup/#slidertype

I am not getting to show more than one item i have two slides currently and only displaying once at a time when i hit the next arrow on the slide.

I would like to display them side by side it how the original Engineer slider template was.

Currently the site is on local machine.

Its there a way to remove the bullet points in the bottom slider?
Also is it possible to update the theme without messing anything up?

This is either thumbnails or tabs. Check them in Navigation section and disable.

Hi Olga,

Thanks for your help before I have a question.

All of sudden the sale badge icons and the sale products are not functioning properly.
I inputted Reg. price and Sale price and its not displaying as it should it remains to show just regular price.

I have everything enabled in appearance customize > E-commerce “Sale” icon acts “Out of stock” is all enabled why is it not showing up on products?

Hi Olga,

It has been fixed after some digging around. Appreciate that.

However I have an important matter that I need fixed. I have bought a plugin from WooCommerce
which dynamically changes the price based on a user role. In this case we have “Subscriber”
with a 10% store wide discount when that user is logged in. (Credentials in private area)

Attached I have screenshots of areas that discounts should be applied currently it only accurately displays the discounted price on the “Product detail page” and “Cart dropdown”. In this case Ball python boa constrictor product should be “$180”
