Visual Composer Update - by caleb - on WordPress WooCommerce support

    Hello,

    I have been trying to update my visual composer, I have downloaded the files and uploaded them to my server with no issue. However the problem i now face is the plugin is asking for the “visual composer license key” The plugin was part of my theme i purchased and have no idea where to obtain this license key..?? Any help

    Hello,

    Actually I’m having a little more issues than originally expected. I have tried to update the revolution slider, js composer and my legend theme to the newest versions. I have downloaded the newest versions directly from my account plugins page. I have uploaded them to my ftp client “my server” but the update have not worked they are all still running the older versions even after i have put the new files in my servers. Looking for some help to understand why the are not updating along with the original question above with the “visual composer license key”

    Hello caleb,

    you do not need any license keys to use plugins that come bundled with our theme.
    Latest versions of these plugins can be downloaded at our Downloads section: https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/
    Have you downloaded them using that link?

    I have done that and they have not updated not sure what wasn’t explained above.. And yes the plugin is requiring an activation key because it is no longer working i can provide screen shots… I have downloaded those from that link

    just to go over the problem again since responses take a few hours and i don’t want to continue to play conversation tag…

    1.I have downloaded the updated plugins from the links above.
    2.Added them to my server as normal
    3.Updated folders/files are there but the versions on my wordpress side are still showing them running previous versions even tho the new files have been “updated”
    4.The js composer which is visual composer is “NOT WORKING” the plugin is asking for an activation key.

    I hope i have explained it enough or better to help the communication of the issues

    Regarding what i was trying to update

    1. Legenda theme v 3.0
    2. Screets Live Chat v 2.0.5
    3. Visual Composer v 4.11.2.1 (Asking for activation key after i tried to update myself.. have been using plugin for over a year)
    4. Revolution Slider v 5.2.5.3

    Jack,

    Thank you for the help.. Yes i see the updates have been done. But now there are some serious formatting issues with the mobile site (template displaying on a mobile device) the whole cart and search function on the top header row are completely hidden on mobile devices. Also the featured item function is displaying totally random in order or products. Before it was done by post date but now i cannot seem to understand what is going on. Please take a look at the cart and search on mobile that is more important to start i will continue to look into the featured product

    Search form was hidden on mobile because it’s displayed incorrectly.
    As I see Cart widget is shown:

    Eva,

    That code did not have any impact still looks the exact same (on all mobile devices).. I put it in the custom.css.. How is this not a theme wide issue that everyone who update to version 3.0 is having? It seems to be an issues with the update because thats when it changed

    Also once the header issues is solved the space between the slider and first block “in the image link it says headbands” is significantly to large this was new after the update also. It is not like this on the computer version however only mobile

    Hello,

    You must rename default.custom.css to custom.css via FTP in wp-content/themes/legenda directory.
    As for the space issue, you’ve added Empty Space element after the slider. Remove it.
