Is there any special considerations prior to upgrading other than backing up?

    Hello,

You should update theme as shown in our tutorial:

(it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/blanco/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Also update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ .

Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi John & Eva,

Sorry for joining this topic. Our ethics in Indonesian’s forums is to group “same” question in the “same” topic. Pls move if it breaks the rule here.

In the past, I used to install Envato WordPress Toolkit Master in my WP plugin. Insert the API Key, and every update comes the update runs automatically. But after the theme updated to ver xxx (I forgot it), the plugin became error. I’ve asked Envato via their twitter, they replayed me that the wrong was not on their side, not their plugin. They asked me to contact the theme’s author.

Sorry, maybe you could help us? Indonesian internet speed is very slow. Even worst the uploading speed. And sometimes the upload process stuck.

Or do you have your own “update toolkit” as Envato has?

    Many thanks,
    Galih

    Hello @nusamebel,

Unfortunately we don’t have our own tool to update theme. The best way is to update it via FTP. If you have difficulties with it we can do this for you. Just create a back up of the site files and database and let us know.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Hello @jack-richardson,

Thank for your kindness. Really appreciate it. But I think it would be too spoiled and bothering you with this small thing. I usually upload the update through FTP in the early morning to avoid busy traffic. It works till ver 3.3. 😀

    Many thanks,
